not sure on this keeper yet - I know only 1st competitive game. I Like the way he’s not frightened to leave the box but I can see 3-4! Allison type fack ups this season!!

Vicario - 6 mixed bag, some shaky moments but also some decent saves and swept up well


Royal - 6 - got the goal but had some lapses defensively and was just safe and steady on the ball

Sanchez - thought he was good and surprisingly calm on the ball

VDV - 8 - thought he was really good and put out a lot of fires

Udogie - 7 - good defensively and tidy on the ball but didn't offer much in the way of chance creation


Skipp - 5 - just very quiet and struggled to get involved

Bissouma - 8 - bossed it

Maddison - 8 - so silky


Deki - 6 - better second half but was poor first half

Richy - 6 - always gonna be hard against a team set up like that but had some good movement and pressing and battled well

Son - 5 - just very quiet and didn't offer much of a threat on the ball, always passing back inside instead of trying anything


Perisic - 6 - was ok

Sarr - 5 - didn't get involved much

He had a good game but the ref let him get away with murder too.

Anyone else think Maddison was MOTM? Competitive debut, 2 assists, great work with the ball, distribution, hold up play etc.

Bissouma was largely bossing it and started off most of our attacks from deep but he did have a few poor moments. More than I noticed with Maddison.

Can only remember he got done twice for pace but the rest of his game he was very good.

Don’t think he lost the ball and put in a proper shift.

Where was Henry for Royal’s goal?
