I’m sure he has told them!

Id rather see James played on the right than the left. Every time he goes forward on the left he looks to turn inside and pass on his right foot. Hes just not that talented to pull it off.

Goalkeeper is fine, even if Meslier goes which seems unlikely now.
Right back is fine. Ayling has dropped off from two years ago but is experienced and with Drameh as well who has proved himself at this level we have enough
Centreback looks good on paper in my opinion but Cooper is so injury prone that it means Struijk plays every game so we need another.
Left back we need but Byram if he stays fit will be good there for a year.
Midfield is very light. Need at least one.
Wingers were good but now with Harrison going, Sini and Gnonto wanting out, we need 2 IMO
No number 10 at the club
Striker we need as Bamford is unreliable and it’s just not working for Joffy it seems

Lot of work to do

What position do you guys think Farke wants to play Rutter (ideally)? winger, 9, 10?

Also, do you think Joffy is ideally number 10, or 9?

Need 6 signings imo

Centre forward
Playmaker (Haven't replaced Pablo)
2 CM's
1 CB
1 winger (If Summerville and Sini go)

Meslier

Ayling
Rodon
?
Byram

Ampadu
?

Rutter
?

Of all the positions, our priority has to be a striker. I know Joffy has time on his side but unfortunately we haven't. He just hasn't materialised into the goalscorer we hoped. Bamford should wear a 'Fragile' sticker on his shirt when he does play but you can't rely on him to play two matches in succession (or to score, for that matter).

Good point about Rutter, maybe I’m misremembering but I think Farke said he wasn’t a true number 9?

Maybe the outgoings give an opportunity to him there

Rutter needs to step up and deliver now. He's the most expensive attacker in the league yet alone our squad, given how short of quality within the attacking players we have now, he HAS to start delivering.

Leeds desperately trying to bring in a new striker this week with it being reported a substantial bid has been officially made but who to we can only speculate.
Cameron Archer from Villa possibly.

It would not surprise me at all if Dallas never plays a game of football again.

-------------------Meslier
Drameh---Rodon--Struijk---LB
-------------CM-----Ampadu
Cree------------Rutter----------James
-------------------ST

--------------------Darlow
Ayling---Cresswell--Cooper---Byram
----------Shackleton---Gray
Poveda--------Gelhardt-------LW
------------------Bamford

With Hjelde covering LCB, Gyabi and Bate options at CM, Joseph covering ST. Perkins also an option.

I think that would see us comfortable in the division, if not challenging for the title, depending on the quality of the additions. Its not so far away, just a lot to do in 3 weeks.

Rutter, lasogga, jka, Grot…

How do we manage to get so little out of so many?

To be fair to Pierre Michel Lasogga Jonty thought there we could have a decent striker there and he was finding some form but we messed him around and his career never really recovered.

Never seen such a big bloke have the physicality of dandelion. Started well but then fell off a cliff

He messed himself about, a disgrace of a professional player.

Miles overweight

I think its very soon to be throwing Rutter in with players like that. He's yet to have a run in the first team playing a position that suits him. Will be a great player in this level playing across the three behind the striker

Look at the state of that squad.

It’s all players who are washed up from our last promotion push or youth team players.

Nothing against the lads that stay. It’s not their fault as such that they aren’t good enough.

But unless there is a huge swing in momentum, we are going to be nearer the bottom than the top.

Supposed to be taking Glen Kamara off our hands if reports up here are to be believed.

He was excellent for us for a few years, wanted away last summer but didn't get it. Good at keeping the ball in tight situations and felt like he never lost the ball in midfield, excelled in our European campaigns.

Don't know how much for but should be a good deal for all parties.

He looks very un-gamely to me. Maybe flat footed but for whatever reason he runs funny for a footballer.

Maybe if he gets a run in his best position then we might see something. I’m clutching at straws though I think.

....For £35M - I'd expect him to be a great player at any level!

£60 for him and James is an aberration.

Obviously we overpaid for him. That's not his fault. Can criticise Orta for the signing, certainly, but let the guy have a chance to actually play.
