It would be handy if they looked at McTominay
Better stealing their scouting network
I suggested before that we should just see who Brighton go for and hijack the deal. Not realising at the time that they'd just agreed to sign Milner
Obviously they've made some great sales of late but nobody talks about their signings that absolutely bomb and there's a fair few to say the least.
That's their model though and when it works, it works spectacularly.

If I were Brighton, I'd look at the potential of Jesse Lingard. That's a project signing.
On a side note it looks like we may go for Onana at Everton.
Powerful young player who is good technically also.
Brighton have done exceedingly well at recruiting very good players at the right time. That's maybe not the whole story though: they've also done a great job at developing the raw talents, and I'm not sure a club higher up the financial food chain would be in a position to achieve that so well. If you need to regularly qualify for the CL to sustain your business model, you can't afford to give a lot of players development time in the league. This also means Brighton are a more attractive destination for players who need a stepping stone to their big move, and of course Brighton can buy players more cheaply than someone in the Big 6 because they have less to spend and aren't in the market for readymade world class players.
None of which is to say that we shouldn't be looking at what they have achieved and concluding we need to do substantially better in the recruitment department ourselves.

Another one? Someone is defo going to ask what’s his name.
Chelsea have spent more on players in two years than it would take to buy Brighton as a club. You get a fantastic squad of 20 odd players, a youth team, a top manager and a cracking stadium for what they have spent to finish 12th.
Looks like West Ham have gazumped Brighton for the signing of Kudus. Kind of a shame. Kudus looks a great player, and surely De Zerbi has more interesting ideas how to use him than Moyes.
Why the fck would Kudus go there considering some of the other clubs that might’ve taken him?
West Ham pay very well indeed

Looks like money talks. There have been some smart moves in recent years by young players who chose the best club for their development over the highest bidder, and few have regretted doing so. Bellingham and Haaland to Dortmund worked out fine both in terms of realising talent and eventual earnings. Hopefully Kudus doesn't end up wishing he'd taken the same approach.

I'd just like it to be known that I was touting Kudus long before Brighton's interest, and we all rate Brighton's recruitment and player-spotting talents very highly.
Make of that what you will.
(Also, I do wonder if Brighton might be a little overstocked in the area of the pitch that gets the best out of Kudus and that actually Kudus might find himself getting more minutes playing for West Ham. I imagine he'll be Paqueta's replacement if he goes to City).
Pretty sure you've never mentioned him before BerbaKing. But you're never one to let a bandwagon roll by.

Maybe, but WHU owners don't have a history of astute managerial appointments, so who knows who would replace him.

Brighton going after Carlos Baleba to replace Caceido. No doubt they've probably found another gem (judging by his fbref stats) for cheap
