He’ll replace your keeper, he’s better. Not a bad position to be in with 2 good keepers
Its about competition and keeping players on their toes. I don't believe Raya would of come if there was no chance of displacing Ramsdale that being said he's gonna have to show why he should be first choice and Ramsdale is going to have to show why he should keep the place. Two focused players instead of one who might become a bit complacent is surely a good thing.
one of the best keepers in the PL
We are getting one of the best GKs in the league on a £3m loan and you are complaining?
Arteta, and more specifically Inaki, have wanted Raya since day 1. He was offered on a plate to us, for just £3m loan fee seems a no-brainer. The fact that if it doesn't work for him then we just don't make it permanent makes sense, and if in 12 months Ramsdale is peeved off then we can buy Raya and sell Ramsdale.
If the competition is proving healthy then both can stay. Would rather Raya than Runar Runar.
And the part about rather a "proven striker" there is nothing about this deal that would stop that if Arteta wanted one.

And how does Raya get to show he is good enough? Will they take a game each in turn? Maybe 3 in - 3 out? We had a reasonably settled - well-functioning defence - now arteta has created chaos.
If Arteta thinks Raya is good enough - he should start most games - and Ramsdale should be on his way out

And what if ramsdale wants out in the Jan window? And Raya changes his mind - decides HE doesn't want to join us?
Arteta has achieved nothing here - except create uncertainty and chaos in our defensive setup

Does training not count? I'm sure Arteta along with his coaching staff can form an opinion from what they do and don't do in training.
Raya will probably get CL and EFL games to make his case.
Rayas a better GK overall imo.

training will show they are both good keepers - both deserving a start - so who starts?
Mad that people are happy for Runar Runar or Karl Hein to be our 'keeper if Ramsdale gets injured.

Arsenal fans just like to complain, Raya is on loan for crying out loud.
I don't ever want to see Hein or Runar play for us again, even in the carling cup

he wanted to leave as he was going to get less games, only EFL and FA cup, he was afraid he would lose his place on the US team

What's mad about this - is arteta can't bring in a 2nd keeper who KNOWS he will be the 2nd keeper.
And if Hein and Runar aren't good enough - that's on arteta too
So buy a crap keeper content to bench warm for probably more than the £3m spent on Raya, who will let us down if needed?

Why is an academy player not being good enough on Arteta?
Runar is exactly the keeper you describe 😂 He was literally bought as a stop gap after we failed to get Raya, then Brentford got promoted and Raya committed to them.
