Yes, time will tell, ? where do you put Liverpool?
oh, well good luck with that,
What does Lavia offer that Gallagher doesn't?. Played really well against Liverpool too.
Is lavia a quality addition? Seems like completely blind faith to me.
Do a search of ja606's history from before May and I doubt he was mentioned on here once as a transfer target that any fan wanted, and certainly not someone that anyone rated as being worth 50mil. I doubt many people even noticed him beyond a couple of matches against their team.
At least Olise has some justification.
Gallagher, is slightly older, does he have first 11 at the top level potential ?
Yeah he is a decent player, but is a top ten player opposed to a top 4 player?
Poch may well prefer the balance Lavia brings to the midfield over what Gallagher has to offer.
+ Gallagher represents all profit on the accounts, which is an important point at the moment.
Shaping up?
£600m last season, add £160m this (all approx) and at this rate, Chelsea will reach 1bn in 2 seasons and for that you would hope they will have a squad that is taking shape!
Can the Chelsea fans resist the urge to sack Poch as soon as the team loses 2 games?
Fans who are used to quick sacking of the manager?
Problem is that Chelsea as FC in recent history has been built on quick sand of shifting wealth of the nefarious owners.
Blind faith? i think it is more about midfield balance tbf.

Are you not a bit concerned that you're making the same mistake - buying way too many players too quickly. From an outsider looking in, this was your biggest downfall last season.
It's not as simple as buying loads of quality players and winning loads of games.

You seem to be confusing money with the shaping of the team, the only connection is cost. We spent a lot last year and prior to that, on wrong players. Judging by preseason and one competitive match of say the squad is shaping up well. Time will test this theory not bitter bias.
Our recent history makes us one of if not the most successful EPL teams over the last twenty years. Being more better than spurs despite your huge investment in your entertainment centre does not make our owners nefarious, just focused. Maybe you could learn from that.

Ebo, Last season was a different dynamic.
Sacking Tuschel was a mistake.
Potter wasnt the right manager, nice guy, but totally out of his depth.
The rash manor of the new owners decision making unsettled the balance of the squad.
A significant number of players downed tools.
Certain players that came in were over paid and not good enough.
I believe if Tuschel had stayed we would have maintained a top four finish.
But this season imo your right about integration as it is one of the key issues, but the squad will be more balanced, it will be unified.
The manager will be in control & the players will know what they are playing for.
And yes it is simply not about buying loads of players and winning games, but this squad does have a lot of quality and focus, they have been backed.
It is an unknown, but id take 5th place , entry to the C/L

Procuring Poch to put some order in the house will not make your team look any less mishmash of players.
Poch will be sacked in no time. Your history shows no patience from the board or the fans. You don't believe in your core on rebuild process. You believe on throwing money and buy success now.

Whilst I much prefer our situation today than to that when I amongst many others used to chuck our spare change into buckets to fight to keep our club at the bridge, or even in existence, I don't consider myself a glory hunter as I've seen Cheksea win everything they can in my lifetime.
