Time to judge when the window closes.
Farke is the best thing to happen so far, I just hope they back him in this transfer window.
We had an aggressive transfer window except the ‘aggressive’ part, so only one bit missing. We’ve had a transfer window so that’s a positive
Also, football fans always come up with this “come clean”… “tell us what’s going on” “be transparent”……. It’s never going to happen. Look at Liverpool, shcum, Newcastle with Ashley over the last few years and many other clubs (although not as bad as Leeds)…. Owners are there for OUR money to cash their profits and they’ll F off in a few years like the rest of them. They literally couldn’t give a f about fans. Their success of the team is all profit based not for the greater of the club
A like Farke
But talking sense in a german camp accent, hasnt half suduced people.
We have 1 point against two terrible sides.
Granted has been dealt a bad set of cards but I’ll wait till start lauded him

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I like him too and also as you say its too early to laud.
He's talked about bringing unity, I really think he's done that......as much as he is able to do with players being exited around him out of his control and seeing players/agents disrupt as in Gnonto.
These are outside of his control, I don't lay any blame at his door for those, but, we're judged on points and league position and football is littered with nice guys who never achieved, but compare him to another "nice" guy in Marsch and I feel we're in much more capable hands with Farke.
Thinking back to our relegation twenty years ago, this doesn’t feel as bad. I don’t have the loyalty to the players that I had then. Losing the Duke, Kewell, and worst of all, Smith, that was bad enough. Then realising how broke we were, because Ridsdale had gambled everything on a Champions League place, which we missed out on by a point, as I recall, that was the sickener. At least we got some money for them.
If by some miracle, we can string a team together, a team that actually wants to be on the pitch, and we start to see some results, that would help. If we can find players who want to work with Farke, and give it their all, that would help too. Most of all, though, we have to dismantle the culture of complacency among our players. Apart from Dallas, I do not believe any of them have injuries of any note. They drop like flies and are out for months at a time. Our medical team and training regime need a close examination, because we have had years of players collecting a wage for very little time on the pitch.
I agree with you about the 49ers being complicit in our problems. They were not passengers. They are learning an expensive lesson. But before we drown in our gloom altogether, let’s see what they can do to resuscitate our club. It’s early days, Jonty, and much as I appreciate your realism, a lot can change in a short period of time.
Have been trying to understand the implications of FFP/PNS.
If I've understood this correctly, and even if the 49'ers are given the benefit of the doubt not to use this as a smoke screen, (yes with great reservation on my part) - we are potentially in a real pickle.
We currently have the best part of a team out on loan, whose purchase value was best part of 100M?
The value decreases by end of season 2023/24. If no one buys them, they're back here probably having to go out again as they're 'too good' for the CL, and not many fans want them back anyway ( the odd exception e.g Harrison).
Basically for Leeds to progress we have to sell these want aways.
Praying some of them have decent seasons so that we get some cash even if it is a likely loss.
Finally we need cash for Adams and Gnonto now so we have a chance of least some reasonable acquistions in the next 14 days to keep us at least mid table - squad against Brum struggles to stay above 17th at best.

two relegations, but twenty odd years on, it doesn't feel like we're in any better situation on the surface despite us having supposedly better owners, stadium in our control and a manager proven at this level.
We're hamstring by these contracts, the apparent lack of funds and bizarre collection of owners who should be good, media savvy, sports experienced, already know the club etc, yet seem to have lost the fans already.
Completely agree a lot can change. What would need to change for you to turnaround your sentiment right now?
The team that started against Birmingham may be fighting relegation. Void of any quality and real threat, it’s a side I’d expect to finish around 16th.
I don’t think the inbound signings have been bad. I think the appointment of Farke is good.
However, as a club we are in complete turmoil over outbound players. I fully expect Adams, Gnonto, Sini and Summerville to leave now.
Before the Cardiff game I hoped these players would stay. The fact they’ve all vanished after 1 match suggests otherwise.
We need to either keep all our current squad, and add 2/3 more, or let those go and sign 8 players.
Neither of those will happen.
Farkes presser today. Hope we get some interesting questions posed (that we can't hear). Although it seems unfair for Farke to have to answer everything. About time the board stopped hiding and told us their plans.

Three points against West Brom would be a good start. Rutter, Rodon, and Joseph could improve whAt we saw at Birmingham. Believe, Jonty
I can see a deflection coming.
Some bullsheet like were looking into past contracts and transfers.
"Where we're at" is heading straight into the abyss of League One.
The team that started on Saturday won't survive this league.
We've been a last minute equaliser away from losing to two favourites for relegation.
Without several good signings & bloody quick, we're down.
Most of all, we need someone who knows where the net is & can be counted on to regularly find it.
We don't have that player in what we have left of a squad.
Impression people have got from todays presser is some release clauses have lapsed, manager said this week was tricky but next week would be a lot easier, he didn’t seem unperturbed by the situation

Always good to hear it from you ADRITK.
Wilko- I always look on the bright side until I see otherwise, hopefully come sept 2nd it will be fine,
Listening to DF it sounds like (just a guess) that Sinisterra had the same loan contract clause as the others but it may have expired and hes still trying to get out but its now a legal matter. Thats what i got from the presser.
Greenwood back in full training.
Gnonto obviously still refusing to play. Surely thats a breach of contract?
I keep thinking, do these 49ers have any money.
The protracted takeover, buying the club in chunks when they had managed to scrape together funds.
The huge consortium of investors all chipping in a few quid.
The lack of investment this transfer window.
It all sounds like a bunch of chancers thinking in a years time we will double or quadruple our money when we go back up.
Except...as said by a few in this thread, this squad is looking mid table at best and lose Gnonto, Sinisterra and Summerville...maybe relegation battle. I've already wrote Adams off as leaving.
I hope I'm way off the mark!
Listened to Farkes presser he appeared to be confident that things will start looking up from next week. I trust him. Looks like all clauses have now expired so we are in a lot more control of our destiny.
