Can’t help but feel under Klopp this player will be special

I think he's a decent signing, especially at that price. I don't believe he is world class. I also believe Klopp will be looking to bring in a younger, better player with potential. I think he's a squad player who will add depth and adds experience. But again, I reckon you will be looking for another player too.

He might be alright, its just a worry you are shuffling around looking at 30yo midfielders at Stuttgart when you should be buying guys with bundles of talent or approaching their peak.

I do vaguely remember him putting in some good performances for Japan at the last two world cups, but it's a bit of a leap of faith to expect him to replicate that consistently in a PL season.

I mean the last world cup.

Liverpool have that in abundance. I'd argue they lack experience and leadership, which mostly resides with Alison, Salah and VVD.
