If the club know more about the situation which justifies his return, surely it would be in everyone's best interests to release that information?

I just want to hear Ali G's take.

The Athletic trying to spin their false reports

Interested to see if you can back this up.

Maybe his partner chose to withdraw her complaint was due to the fact the accused impregnated her...

Of course there are morally bankrupt United fans who's priorities are United...period. But thankfully the vast majority will condemn any Greenwood reinstatement as will most folk with a modicum of morality.

Bringing Greenwood back represents a massive own goal for United. If the hierarchy don't understand this now, they will should the aforementioned come to pass.

They said the club were making the announcement 4 Aug.

Did they admit they were wrong? No. They created a whole other situation and continue to push it, which is lapped up by the Greenwood Out brigade, who also refuse to consider they might have judged him prematurely.

What if a plausible explanation has been presented, but the player and his family don't want revealed?

If Greenwood is brought back some will like it others wont if they feel that strong about it go and support another club

Can't see any other solution

Like everything on the audio was just for sh!!tz and giggles. And the images of her injuries were just her playing 'make up'

Maybe...

Robb said it well, once the official stance has been made, we will then see the next phase. Whatever is said now, can easily be superseded.

I hate to cast out “one of our own” but this is extremely divisive, so can see the other side of the fence.

No right answer here.

What a sharticle. The audio speaks for itself. Anyone wanting Greenwood back either isn't a United fan or is completely morally bankrupt.
Bringing him back would bring shame on the whole club and it is fortunate someone close to the decision making has one iota of common sense leaking the shameful approach the club is taking on the matter. They should have binned him off 18 months ago. Despicable human and I don't give a cr## whether he's the next Messi, he's just another Ravel Morrison.

posted on 18/8/23

They have messed this up so so badly. The time to bring him back (if that was the decision they made) was 5 weeks ago at the start of pre season.

Instead they have delayed and waited until the Women's World Cup started. Imagine how stupid you have to be to not think that this probably wasn't the most ideal time to bring him back if as I repeat that's what they decided to do.

The club is an absolute shambles above the manager. Nothing has changed. Ed Woodward's number two stepping up to take the big job isnt progress. It's more of the same.

I don’t normally believe much in the media when it comes to us but it wouldn’t surprise me if the club leaked he’s coming back to gauge reaction

Then leaked the second thoughts angle to gauge that reaction

Call it market testing

Give a reasonable explanation for the recording and there will be more on your side.
But you have heard it and :
It was role play !
Any other reason?
He abused her, threatened her.
He deserves what he gets
Unless you have a plausible scenario, why are you supporting him
Nobody has said he's innocent, the best you have come up with is that they didn't have enough to charge him with.
Are you his brother? Cousin ? Why are you going to these lengths to support him
You heard what we we heard, was it playful foreplay?

You missed the bit where you said “money was paid out to make it all go away. The girl was from a poor family”!

And “ if the family was rich it may well have had a different outcome.”

I wonder what members of poor families think of MU52’s views on poor families whilst he’s trying to take the moral high ground on Greenwood!

Am I ? I'm not trying to take any ground, I call it as I see it, as I'm sure you do.
But I stand by every comment I've made, vile or not.
As you've taken the moral low ground I don't give a centime for your opinion. And didn't before this tiff.

If he comes back, ETH will have been hamstrung, massive distraction, he dealt with the Ronaldo exit well but this will be another level.
A split stadium, team mates not keen to celebrate with him isn’t an atmosphere conducive to success.

Regardless of morality, finances etc just get him out for the sake of success on the pitch, harmony is vital.
He was an exceptional talent, but let’s not fool ourselves that his potential positives will outweigh the negatives.

Ten Hag is dealing with this by setting us up to score as few goals as possible. The man is playing 4D chess.
