Agree with a lot of your points.

Conundrum with Rutter though.

The player delivering at Hoffenheim has just not turned up yet and certainly looked anonymous last night. All we can do is give him time and hope something clicks. Come September, he if he gets a run, will probably be surrounded by a stronger squad, so maybe there could be reasonable improvement.

Another point, surprisingly and positively, James was a revelation last night. Hope he now does this week in week out because CL level defences can't cope with him in that mood.

Big shout out to Jamie last night, thought he played really well.

Bar that spell at the start of the second half we bossed it. In control and only one team wanting to win it. They were rank at times with their Lampard style delay tactics but will be in the mix for the play offs

The ref was so bad. The handball for the goal, the clear pen for us, his fussiness

The players are buying into Farke. Rodon looks really solid. Meslier and Struijk look more relaxed and calmer which is a massive plus. Byram is good. Ayling has iffy moments and up and down at the moment

Midfield is an issue. Gray is a talent but should be used sparingly. Ampadu is a rock

Striker is a massive problem. As you'd expect we have issues in those forward positions without our main 3 wing options.

In priority order we need a striker
We need 2 midfielders, one an Adams replacement and one for depth
We also need another left back

The wait and see is those forward positions. I feel we need a 10 regardless. If we lose any of those 3 star forwards they will need replacing

Steady the ship and finish top half….

Wow. Anything below top two is a strategic failure. Board have said it themselves. Anything less than top 6 as a minimum would require major overhaul next season

As a Wales fan, I'm happy as hell over Dan James.
I have to credit his attitude in coming back to the club
after a torrid time, under some sh 1 t managers. And
reapplying himself and producing this start.

I give Farke a ton of man management credit too.

James, Ampadu, and Rodon always turn up for the
national side. Now they doing it for us. Very happy.

On Meslier, wow. I mean damn. His confidence is
back and he looked so much better last night than
last season. Huge credit to him. The only downside
is now the suitors will be back. And before the
window closes I reckon. Wonder if that chocolate
fireguard of a previous GK coach, Abad just tanked
him so badly? Any road, Mes is back.

Our board is useless.

One thing I'd like to add is I'd be embarrassed to be a wba fan. Didn't come to play.
Farke over corberan.
