Few positives to take from it in reality. Danilo getting a goal and Yfeko with a solid debut.
I’m very close to writing Lammers off. He’s slow, can’t hold onto the ball, can’t dribble, doesn’t get goals, doesn’t create goals. I would have Hagi over him every single time, at least he’s a creator.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hagi is on a different level to Lammers. He offers nothing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Completely agree
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lammers is a striker. Should be played there, and compared to other players there. No idea what Beale is doing.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He doesn't appear to have the speed of thought or movement to play as a striker at big club like Rangers.
His goalscoring record over the past 7 year would suggest that he is definitely not a striker.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Would say the opposite. He’s slow, but his ability to make half a yard or link as a forward is good.
His finishing was good in preseason. Clearly a question mark over it given last few seasons, but his goal record in Holland was good. Off the top of my head I’d imagine very similar to Danilo/Dessers if not better.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's averaged about 3/4 goals a season since 2016
----------------------------------------------------------------------
And he’s already scored for us and showed in pre season he can finish. 18/19 was the last time he was in a league similar to ours, and he got 19 in 35.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
OK. I don't know exactly when it became acceptable to Rangers fans for the club to sign high risk players in the he'll do well.
If he's a good striker being played out of position then your managers a dud
I highly doubt Lammers will come good. Doesn't look a player at all. He's the kind of signing that gets managers the sack
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don’t where you’ve been the last 20 years, the market we both shop in is high risk. We can’t sign established players from top leagues so we sign players from smaller markets. If we sign players from big leagues it’s players who haven’t been at their best or reached their performances, e.g likes of Carter Vickers who had 6 loans with mixed results or so before you signed him.
I think he’s being played out of position, and if we continue with the current shape, or lack of, he’ll be out the door soon.
Lammers was our most impressive player in pre season. Clearly a player there. Whether we can get best out of him, not sure.
Your manager's shape and tactics aren't helping any of your players.

Didn't see the game yesterday but just watched the highlights there. I get he has his limitations but I do think Matondo has something to offer. He's the only really rapid player we've got and having that option to play a quick ball out is crucial in games where we often get bogged down in slow build up play, you need to be able to mix it up a bit.
Wish I knew what's going on with Hagi, he's clearly one of our more talented players but since his injury he just doesn't seem fancied. It's so frustrating seeing us persist with empty jerseys like Sima and Lammers when Hagi is just sitting there on the bench.

Sima seems rapid too. Unfortunately, like a lot of rapid guys, that might be about it? Either way if they can't fire in a high cross or get on the end of one they are of limited use to Beale.
I keep hearing this about Sima but any time I actually see him playing he doesn't seem notably quicker than any of the rest? Mainly I just see him standing around looking lost.

No. I'm saying that in general we don't buy 'strikers' who are averaging 4 goals a season and then play them put of position.
I'm saying that Celtic, generally, buy a much higher level of player than Rangers do.
I don't particularly care where they come from.

That's a very fair comment. As was your one about Hagi earlier.
He at least should get a run of a few games. Probably the only player in the squad now who might net you a decent transfer fee. He needs to play before he's gone for zilch.
Alex Lowry man of the match for Hearts today too. I’d even prefer him over Lammers in the no.10. Hoping Hagi starts on Tuesday
It's good that Lowry's getting all this experience. As for Lammers he's clearly got ability. We'll see whether he can produce it often enough for us.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll tell you where I've been for the last 20 trophies...watching Celtic winning 17 of them.
Not sure why you persist in comparing Celtic and Rangers in this way.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Plucky Rangers did well to hold on at the end there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Same could not be said for the unplucky Celtic.
