Spurs vs United

We had non-league level strikers last season. Todays loss was due to inept finishing. Sky commentary is so bias. We were the team that had most of the best chances and wasted them. If we played like Spurs today they would have said they were shocking in defence.

Just waiting for Robb’s biased knee jerk reaction that we should hire his countryman
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You should do one, we’d have to hire jesse marcsh
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Didn’t realize he was from Withington
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yup Withington, Alabama
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You do realize just because someone lives in a foreign country doesn’t mean they actually are from there right.

I’m guessing you’re one of those small town folk who knows every generation of your neighbors haha
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh, my bad. I just figured your views are a bit red US of A that you were actually a yank.

All this garbage about Mount is coming from the same people who didn’t want Fred McT or Eriksen playing

He’s an upgrade on them and we clearly didn’t have the money for a Rice, Caicedo etc

Would you rather we went bargain hunting in Japan like the scousers??

Glazers fault despite new managers coming in to other clubs and getting them playing better football in far less time, with less new transfers.

I'm still wondering what the thinking was regarding Mason Mount, not a player I would even have considered before we took an interest in signing him.

I just find it really odd, that we've identified him as a solution for us.

It's amazing the amount of comments I've seen saying trust eth, well u know what people in this country have watched mount for the last few years and yes we are not football scouts but could see this was a signing that wasn't needed

Weird one. We needed someone like Ceicedo, not another Bruno
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Agreed, I would have thought a more natural no.8 or no.6 (or some combo of the two) rather than an ineffective no.10

We all just have to hope he's warming up and will improve, a lot

This has been poor, no two ways about it and sadly we don't have the cash to go out and buy other players, it is what it is and we'll need to suck it up, again?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Which would suggest the manager isn’t good enough to ring more out of the players he’s got. Now I don’t believe that, but I did think he was fortunate last season at times. Let’s see what happens in a couple of weeks, might be fitter and better by then
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fingers crossed I usually don't get too down with a loss but the first two games have been kinda poor? Hopefully we'll get fitter and turn it around moving forward

Our shot to goal ratio is incredibly bad. People don’t realise how bad it is. I have looked at stats for a few years now and this is the worst strikeforce Man Utd have had in the PL since SAF left.

Tottenham getting praised when they conceded more bigger chances than we did against Wolves.

need a striker to get fit. got it wrong about Garnacho, Rashford needs to go out left

We needed someone like Enzo Fernandez - basically someone who brings what Eriksen does with his vision, intelligence & passing from deep but with added bite & dynamism. That’s what ETH wanted from FDJ.

Mount isn’t that type of player, and doesn’t play in a double pivot. I am confused why we’ve suddenly switch to a 4-3-3 after spending all season last year in a 4-2-3-1.

Need ambrabat
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Need a lot more than that
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A lot more.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
not disagreeing but who in your opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I don't know. A dribbler who can score goals. A striker who holds up play and makes run that least worrys a Centre back. A DMF who passes with real range. A winger who runs at defences, Pellestri but bigger, stronger. More tempo in games!

Honestly we need so much

Actually yes.

Now we are stuck with a £60m signing who is t right for the next 5 years who will have no re-sale value.

At least cheaper bargains you can cycle through without being saddled with Un-sellable players due to grossly over paying. See Maguire, Bailley and every other player we have dropped a bomb on.

Also, bargain hunting would have got us Moises Caicedo, who if you don’t know, was just sold for a British transfer record.

So sick of utter shat signings that don’t make sense year after year after year. Fully expect Hojlund to be the same. “£70m for an unproven 20 year old striker with a slightly dodgy injury record, yeah where do we sign?”

Fack off.

There's a reason so much was paid for caciedo and Declan Rice. We needed 2.

Looking at the Newcastle squad there and Rio makes a decent point, they have some skill but certainly have a load of physicality in the squad, fit, strong and drive about them?

So far anyway we seem to lack that

Under Erik ten Hag, Man Utd have lost a PL away game against every other top 9 team from 22/23:

◉ 4-0 v Brentford
◉ 6-3 v Man City
◉ 3-1 v Aston Villa
◉ 3-2 v Arsenal
◉ 7-0 v Liverpool
◉ 2-0 v Newcastle
◎ 2-2 v Spurs
◉ 1-0 v Brighton
◉ 2-0 v Spurs

30-8 on aggregate.

Shambles

Lmao. Calm down. You are right but calm down. We need to be taking wisks. Onana from Everton was a better choice than Mount.
