Well give chillwell and co time, they will get theirs soon.
And also Fofana, Nkunku and chukwuemeka will miss most the season
Said it before...get Eva back

That sucks tbf long term
With Fofana, we should’ve avoided due to his existing injury history.
As for others…I’m not sure. Combo of bad luck and bad medical team I guess.
It's a ludicrous situation and one that needs resolving asap. The onus is on the club because our medical and fitness department simply can't be good enough.
No team can ever be successful if it's constantly ravaged with injuries to key players. Show me a team that's ever managed to do that and I'll show you a unicorn.
Agree superb.
I know that we potentially rushed james back last season.
But this season it seemed poch took him off as a precaution, whilst drawing v liverpool of all teams...and he still picks up an injury.
Exactly Nick, if it was just James we had to constantly manage then it would be doable. Even with his 16 injuries over the last 4 seasons lol.
But when you constantly have these type of injury layoffs decimating your squad all the time it's impossible to get any kind of rhythm going.
I know Arsenal didn't win anything last season but can you imagine if Odegaard, Martinelli and Saka were constantly getting injured last season ? They wouldn't have got top four let alone pushed City for the title.
Of course you’re going to have a lot of injuries when you have about 600 players on your books
Everyone wants to talk about our money spent but nobody wants to even mention our ludicrous injury record that seems to be continuing from last season.
Honestly wonder if the club are even investigating this ? It's all well and good spending hundreds of millions on players but it's all for nothing if you can't maintain them.
You wouldn't spend crazy money on Lamborghini's and Ferrari's then just take them to your local cheapskate dodgy mechanic to maintain otherwise things would go wrong on them.
So more fool us if we don't have the best medical and fitness department in the PL. At present it feels like we have the worst.

Chuk is out for 6 weeks
Nkunku is out for the rest of 2023
Fofana is potentially out for the season.
Todd get the wallet out son. We've got an injury crisis.
Buy Brighton's medical team. Problem solved
I’ve got Chelsea to score 2+ goals in an acca this weekend. Safe bet? Will your frontline have any goals in it? I assume Sterling, Jackson, Mudryk?

obviously boris with the most dense comment on the thread so far. We have about 22 first team players. 5/6 of those are injured.

I'm quite confident, outplayed liverpool for 60 minutes. outplayed west ham for much the same.
Hoping we can turn that into goals.

yep, it makes the money (still ridiculous amounts in and out) a bit null and void.
If someone signed mbappe tomorrow for £250million.
And he got an ACL injury. People wouldn't still be going "how are you in X position, you spent £250million!"

Yup we're being judged as if all our signings have been fit and playing which is far from the truth. Nkunku probably would have been our star player this season but that's obviously not happening now.
I don't see any other PL clubs having to contend with the bizarre amount of injuries we almost constantly have.
The frustrating issue with the clubs buying policy to date is that it has not ensured that the squad does have competent out and out striker, considering the outlay which i think will total about 600m, once all of the sales have been completed. 400m.
Look when you look at the make up of the squad, it is clear the squad may be gifted, but it lacks experience in the EPL, and at this level.
its going to be a gradual process.
In experience combined a lack of strength in depth make the squad vulnerable when injuries hit key players.
The ownership seem to have gone out on a limb and continue to buy 10- 20m pound prospects.
But ? the question everyone is asking does the squad have time considering FFP and the importance of playing in the C/L.
This uncertainty is bringing the new ownerships thinking into question.
They seem to be happy player banking, but have not totally grasped how essential it is to get the squad strength in depth right.
These young players may well do well, but its unlikely doing well will be enough to get a C/L place next May.
The points we loose until the squad is fully functioning will possibly make strong finish inadequate.
The ownership should be aware of how precarious the balance is.
Lets hope that between now and the closing window the squad will bring the players?
I said the other day it’s simply staggering
Between Aug 2009 to Nov 2014 we had 126 injuries in TOTAL
We’ve nearly had that just in the last year
Wtf is going on? Was John Terry just a man and didn’t let anyone be injured as he’d call them wimps, and we’ve now got a bunch of fairies, or is it just too much footballer with relentless international schedule but then why don’t other teams suffer as bad?
Somethings gone on, we use to be known as one of the most injury free teams in the league we rarely got them, the last 3-4 years has just been relentless
Gone from averaging to 20-30 injuries a year to 100+
Poch's training sessions are known for being strenuous.
