Not sure what options we have at the club other than him should Byram get injured. Hjelde? I would keep him.

At championship level he'll be better. I know that's not going to be popular, but there seems no sign he's leaving. My guess is he'll have a part to play this season.

Actually want Firpo to stay and do well. its strange because no matter how justified critics he has, and me too, but I've always seen small glimpses of what a player he could be.

think this level could really suit him, then push on from there.

I also heard that he really WANTS to stay, despite what fans say about him, which he must hear. Thick-skinned or determined to prove us wrong? Not sure. But if he’s committed to try, let’s see what Farke can do with him. If Farke realises he can’t deliver suspect Farke wont be shy in getting rid.

Problem I have with Firpo is that he doesn't seem to excel at anything. He's not really good in attack, he's clumsy at the back and prone to bookings. Atleast Berra was hard to beat and Alioski was a real threat going forwards. Not sure what Firpo offers even though he seems like a nice bloke. Perhaps he'll do better at this level.

I think in a side that dominate the ball, Firpo will look okay. He probably won't have the attacking output we want, but he'll be a much more natural wide threat than Byram.

Be willing to give him a go, and then reassess in January, but I'd prefer we go out and sign a quality LB, especially given Firpo and Byram aren't the best at keeping themselves available.

You'd hope a drop in division gives players a chance to shine, also gives them a chance to be more exposed and Firpo is a red card waiting to happen at times.

Bill's a solid leader on and off the pitch.
Advances the ball.
Works very hard and has a massive heart.
Understands the club and fans.
Part of the Bielsa legends team.
Scores goals. And good ones at that.

And is responsible for too many conceded goals.

Can't defend. Most if not all attacks start on his side.
For good reason. Love the bloke but, time to phase
him out if we're serious about promotion.

I will add though, great bloke to have in the squad
this season. At his age, could see him at a lower
end Championship club or top League One side
next season.

I agree with all these points with the exception of that he was responsible for too many goals against. Sure he played his part but so many times while he got the blame other were culpable also.
As for firpo, I'd keep him in the squad at least until we can see what he can do in this league.

He can play both sides, just like Byram.

He can play both sides, but he has spent almost his entire senior career utilised as a LB. Also, that was just one rumour and don't think any reliable journalist ever supported it.

So either way you look at it, Farke saw Byram or
Williams as better than Bill - which they are. So,
Farke, if he got Williams, could've played him left
or right. Or vice versa Byram. And to say the links
to Williams aren't credible is daft. They were real.

Bill, love him, is not a viable, promotion winning
right back any more. And that's why Frake is looking
for replacements. Sentimental FC needs to die and
go away. Orta brainwashed a section of fans into

They aren't. Bielsa was a magician. Without MB they
are what they are: aging lower tier, big hearted,
