Filtering is good, I haven't had to see a comment from the simpleton Dutch lad "cloggy" for a couple of years and it has made the site better.
If you post articles rather regularly you find certain posters are irritants and removing them from your JA experience only improves it.

At he last count I was up to about half a dozen or more posters that have filtered me

Mostly Spurs fans...this is of no surprise obviously because they have the biggest density of fackin weeners on the site

Sandy actually unfiltered me about 2 years ago after a long length in the clink...I basically begged him to refilter me...which of course he duly did

Red Russian remains a mystery...no idea why i'm filtered by him

To my mind it's much better to call people out than filter (which I have never done)

I think my nearest applicant to filtering would be Craptor...as he has accused me of being a former not606 poster on the Pompey forum who may have had racist & homophobic views

That person wasn't me - but this simple twatt won't have it...so I call him out on it every time he appears on here

Never filtered anyone and never will.....

There are a fair few absolute hand pumps on the site but I just ignore them.

I have 5 accounts filtered:

2 Wolves posters who only seem to use JA606 to run prediction leagues. Nothing against either chap, but I don’t do prediction leagues so don’t want to see the top 3-4 articles on Arsenal board constantly being ones I’m not interested in.

1 old Arsenal user who left the site years ago, but not before posting some article about Nuri Sahin (remember him?) which, for all I know, the Scousers still post laughing emojis on. So, again, really an article I’ve filtered, rather than a user.

1 Arsenal account that’s a bloke pretending to be a woman (could probably unfilter them as even they must’ve got bored on the ‘joke’ by now).

1 sock account, username Fik Tossa, which shouldn’t require an explanation.

Filtering these 5 improved the site for me.

Bit harsh on Giroulski,Lex. Pretty sure they/them have had the op.

Pretty much this. I view this place like an online pub. Happy to talk with almost anyone but start being a complete diik then you go on ignore. If you start pestering me then one of us is leaving.

Bigger issue with name changes and returning users, previously banned or otherwise.

I have lots of run ins with folk on here - which I actually quite enjoy, it seems to be my thing. I try not to make it too personal, even with a Judas ball bag like Rusty. I understand that other folk are just trying to have their fun/opinion whatever.

As such the only one I have and have ever knowingly filtered is TUX - I don’t like his conspiracy craaaap and it doesn’t relate to football, so I can’t be bothered reading any of it. Never argued with him though.

As for Sandy, he knows what he is doing and he enjoys the attention, if you don’t like that he acts this way then just lay him no attention.

Maybe buts he’s still a boring repetitive spamming cant.

I’d like admin to put a feature on each user’s homepage with a list (or at least a total number) of users that that person has filtered, and how many times they themselves have been filtered.
This would help deciding whether a person is actually worth engaging with or not.
