A step in the right direction though Fark.
Good points, well made. I'd hope that Farke has a handle on this and that we'll see improvement soon.
I have some very close Kiwi friends who went home permanently few years back and they seem to have become very miserable too. NZ certainly is a very long way from anywhere, I suppose.
I agree that Farke still has some big problems to fix and "refreshing" options at LB and RB - bringing in younger, fitter players who can get back quickly enough after pushing forward to support the attack - is probably high on his wishlist.
I also agree that Gnonto is prone to losing possession and I would prefer the club to sell him for 40 big ones so it can support new recruitment. However, surely part of his role is to take players on and make things happen, take risks? He was very brave to get on the end of that cross and score - that has redeemed him a little bit in my view. Without doubt he is a cracking prospect but he is still finding his way and we must accept he will screw up along the way as well as conjuring rabbits out of hats.
Generally, then, yes, there's always something to moan about but for the moment, I for one am very pleased with the away win at Ipswich, given all the tremendous difficulties we've been facing this summer.
We won a game for once, FFS! We just signed a striker who scored on his debut, FFS! Life is sweet - enjoy it while you can?
It was a great win. Team newly promoted and undefeated and I remember going back to the 90s it's always been a bogie ground for us in the main
To go one down so early and win including new starters and returning disgruntled players was a good sign
There are rightly a few concerns still. Rodon looks a class above at the back. We need someone else to compliment him ie could we g3t Harwood-Bellis on loan? Then with Cresswell/Struijk as back up we look solid there
Drameh looked uncomfortable. He's not inspired yet in a Leeds shirt. We need a "Aarons" still who can cover either side. Dallas seems a long way from returning.
Gray has been impressive but I don't want to be over reliant on him. We need a couple of midfielders. Kamara and O Brien rumoured? Maybe a 10 instead or Amiri who binned us off
This week, after I suspect a few more signings, we will have achieved a quantum leap compared to a couple of weeks back.
As I keep saying, keeping back a proper critique until at least 2nd September.
Just feel we have taken the right steps to be ready to truly launch and as others have said, Farke is looking our best signing.
Agree, but if we're scoring 2,3,4 per game, we've always got a chance to win. Needed the points, live today fight tomorrow was my reaction at FT. 3 or 4 new signings needed with a few out the door would be good.

Jaz! Was I a tad miserable in my post, or just being a realist?
But I take your point. We have a lot to be happy about. Maybe I have spent too much time as cheerleader for the Jonty fanclub.
