City seem intent on getting Matheus Nunes which would make it a great window imo.
Old favourites replaced, great young players coming through.
Villa imo. I’d swap the players we brought in (minus Onana of course) for the ones they got. Think they’ll challenge for top 4
Pau Torres has been awful - at fault for 2 goals at Newcastle and one yesterday, I think he is ill suited to the Prem - slow and weak.
United have had a nightmare, Mount is average at best, Hojlund is a young project striker and they haven’t been able to move in Maguire
Chelsea - time will tell whether their strategy is left field genius or sheer lunacy, I will say this though - they’ve not gone half hearted.
Arsenal - Havertz was a poor signing, unlucky with Timber, Rice is a good long term signing even if the fee is mental
Liverpool - need to keep Salah, but Darwin looks half a stone lighter and more menacing - will be like a new signing
West Ham - bought well but Paqueta is staring down the barrel of a 12 month ban and as soon as Europe kicks in that squad won’t cope with 2 games a week
Tottenham - early days with Ange but Maddison, Vicario and VDV look like huge successes, Porro and Bissouma look like new players and Udogie is a revelation. Goal scoring attackers needed in the next 4 days though or we will be left short - and another CB

Gvardiols a top signing to an already stacked def but an improvement on Laporte.
Utd have improved their gk for sure, mountt fee was stupid and if their plan was him in a mf double pivot with casemeiro then u have to question that. Big money on a poundland Haaland who can't even play yet but surely hes gonna be an improvement on Rashford as a striker and Martial...
Newcastle have done solid business and spent a lot, Villa solid business. Chelsea signed top talent and spent a stupid amount again but they've gotta find a balance and make it work still. All that spent and they still set up negatively and are a pretty boring team to watch.
West Ham and Brighton done alright too and will be the best of the rest with Villa i'd imagine though all of them are in europe this time too, extra games.
Spurs, Maddisons a baller but need to keep him fit, the captain thing seems to have him fired up working hard. Kane be a big miss but as a team theyre already looking better. Keeper looks dodgy to me but the cb looks ite.

West Ham done well but Antonio is such a disappointing player in that he looks like the player of the league for a month or so, then poor the rest of it.

They spent the most which is not the question asked.
Spending most does not equate to bring in the right mix of what is needed and what will help the club.
Villia have probably the best window, then Spurs for me. Both clubs needed certain qualities and got them.
Spurs are still address 2 areas though, and additional quality CB who can be rotated if needed, and a proven main striker, (Rich is not a main striker for me
By virtue of spending the most in the window, I think Arsenal net spend is around £150m this window, on the back of £200m last season, means that if the results don;t go their way, and Arteta keeps rejigging the side, I can safely say come Xmas, he will be eating Jamon and Olives, in Spain
Our window (Arsenal's) is the only one I've really taken notice of, maybe Spurs too given the Kane saga.
On paper we should have improved a bit, Timber looked a good signing and with Raya we've weirdly landed a top GK to make us incredibly strong in that department.
Rice had/has all the stats to back up him being a guy you'd want in your midfield, whether that's deep or further forward. He's there breaking up play and passing the ball on, it certainly doesn't need to be as a DM and instead could work wonders further up, gaining back possession in more dangerous areas giving us chances to catch the opposition out. With our young, energetic front line and defence capable of squeezing right up, I'd much rather see us do that in certain situations than waiting to make inceptions deep.
At this point I'd prefer just to pretend we didn't buy Havertz, if he comes good great, if not it was a monumentally stupid signing as there's just no evidence he should be good so either our manager and scouts know something none of us know or it's a really facking expensive bin dive into Chelsea again.

They need a clinical finisher imo but it doesn't need to be a like for like Kane replacement, in fact that's just not going to be possible. Our window (Arsenal's) is the only one I've really taken notice of, maybe Spurs too given the Kane saga.
On paper we should have improved a bit, Timber looked a good signing and with Raya we've weirdly landed a top GK to make us incredibly strong in that department.
Rice had/has all the stats to back up him being a guy you'd want in your midfield, whether that's deep or further forward. He's there breaking up play and passing the ball on, it certainly doesn't need to be as a DM and instead could work wonders further up, gaining back possession in more dangerous areas giving us chances to catch the opposition out. With our young, energetic front line and defence capable of squeezing right up, I'd much rather see us do that in certain situations than waiting to make inceptions deep.
At this point I'd prefer just to pretend we didn't buy Havertz, if he comes good great, if not it was a monumentally stupid signing as there's just no evidence he should be good so either our manager and scouts know something none of us know or it's a really facking expensive bin dive into Chelsea again.

If you think of an individual signing that has the most impact in the window in Europse top 5 leagues, you cannot beat Harry Kane signing for Bayern,
But locally, for me Timber signins is just shadowed by Maddison si being up there. His injury means he had less imapact, But what a night and day diff in Arsenal's back four since Timber went down (sorry for the pun!).
He is a freaky signing imo.

Mount was media driven...These days the media be it on X (twitter) or the normal press, they can convince you that an old rusty nail is worth more than gold, by virture of having endless commentary on how ood an old rusty nail is....
It was something that helped us to get Maddison cheaply as the media were busy with Mount mission!

Absolutely. Doesn't mean it can't be called out now though.
Arsenal have signed some good players and have had a better window than us but I don't consider any of their new players 'world class'.

Our window (Arsenal's) is the only one I've really taken notice of, maybe Spurs too given the Kane saga.
On paper we should have improved a bit, Timber looked a good signing and with Raya we've weirdly landed a top GK to make us incredibly strong in that department.
Rice had/has all the stats to back up him being a guy you'd want in your midfield, whether that's deep or further forward. He's there breaking up play and passing the ball on, it certainly doesn't need to be as a DM and instead could work wonders further up, gaining back possession in more dangerous areas giving us chances to catch the opposition out. With our young, energetic front line and defence capable of squeezing right up, I'd much rather see us do that in certain situations than waiting to make inceptions deep.
At this point I'd prefer just to pretend we didn't buy Havertz, if he comes good great, if not it was a monumentally stupid signing as there's just no evidence he should be good so either our manager and scouts know something none of us know or it's a really facking expensive bin dive into Chelsea again.
Spurs have had the most exciting window, not because of signings but because they have a new manager and have lost their star man. They need a clinical finisher imo but it doesn't need to be a like for like Kane replacement, in fact that's just not going to be possible. That finisher could be a wide forward, not necessarily a striker but they need someone. Other than that they've addressed their weaknesses and the whole Ange system compliments the side better, taking pressure off the defence by being more proactive in defending from the front.

If you think of an individual signing that has the most impact in the window in Europse top 5 leagues, you cannot beat Harry Kane signing for Bayern,
But locally, for me Timber signins is just shadowed by Maddison si being up there. His injury means he had less imapact, But what a night and day diff in Arsenal's back four since Timber went down (sorry for the pun!).
He is a freaky signing imo.

West Ham done well but Antonio is such a disappointing player in that he looks like the player of the league for a month or so, then poor the rest of it.
The lack of interest around JWP and Maddison was very strange, considering how they are both ahead of Mount.

Mount was media driven...These days the media be it on X (twitter) or the normal press, they can convince you that an old rusty nail is worth more than gold, by virture of having endless commentary on how ood an old rusty nail is....
It was something that helped us to get Maddison cheaply as the media were busy with Mount mission!

Arsenal by a mile. Rice is world class, Timber has potential to be world class (shame about injury) and Raya is a world class back-up keeper.

Westham have taken that 105m and bought Alvarez, Kudus and JWP with it. I know who has come out of that deal better off and it's definitely not Arsenal. 😂

Laughing because I don't think many actually do honestly think they are "world class" that phrase gets bandied about WAY too much, well imo anyway and after perhaps after about 8-10 games I do think most Utd fans realised Harry was, in no way, world class
