Can't rely on youngsters if we want to win a trophy and get back in the CL. It's also unfair to put so much pressure on them, same with Baj and Elliot. We need experienced Pros.

Andre seems to be highly regarded by his club and its his comments regarding that that make me think we are on to something, he's totally happy to stay where he is and fight for his team until the end of the season. From the clips I've seen he also seems to have some real on field presence and attitude which I like. Well worth waiting for until January.

Another season out of the CL and we can say goodbye to Salah, Alisson, VVD, Diaz etc. Also, can't see Szob or AMA being happy playing yet another season of lower tier European football.
But hey, at least we'll win the Net Spend trophy again though 👍

While Edwards was at the club I didn't always agree with our strategy but it looked coordinated and measured.
This summer started well and I think the two players we had in mind were signed straight off the bat. Then it went to pot with a new and temporary sporting director which is where I think the problem lies.
We've left it late and team don't want to sell at this stage of the season. If we want to get players in now we will get fleeced.

Pal is arguably 2nd to Rodri in the DM ratings in the PL. Totally dominated Rice last weekend and is worth every penny.
We would have overpaid for Caicedo and Lavia. This is just the market. The Saudi club over paid for Fab.
As for Andre. He has become the new Bellingham. As soon as the Saudi drop him a ofter he won't think twice about us.

Andre seems to be highly regarded by his club and its his comments regarding that that make me think we are on to something, he's totally happy to stay where he is and fight for his team until the end of the season. From the clips I've seen he also seems to have some real on field presence and attitude which I like. Well worth waiting for until January.

While Edwards was at the club I didn't always agree with our strategy but it looked coordinated and measured.
This summer started well and I think the two players we had in mind were signed straight off the bat. Then it went to pot with a new and temporary sporting director which is where I think the problem lies.
We've left it late and team don't want to sell at this stage of the season. If we want to get players in now we will get fleeced.

Yesterdays game showed us warts and all, Worldie goalkeeper here, shabby defending there, enigmas blowing the game open from the bench and guts and never say die attitude throughout. We are certainly the most watchable team in the league.
I think if we add Doucoure and Andre to the mix we will be making big strides.

If the links to Andre are genuine, I’d be happy waiting for him, though like everyone else we can only go with the reports read on how good he is, as I doubt any of us have seen him play. If we pay bloated transfer fees for the likes of Doucoure, Palhinha et al, then I’d be looking forward to the criticism of the club for overpaying for mid table PL players once we realise that’s all they are.

Pal is arguably 2nd to Rodri in the DM ratings in the PL. Totally dominated Rice last weekend and is worth every penny.
We would have overpaid for Caicedo and Lavia. This is just the market. The Saudi club over paid for Fab.
As for Andre. He has become the new Bellingham. As soon as the Saudi drop him a ofter he won't think twice about us.

But if that's the going rate for players then we need to pay it. Refusal to could be catastrophic and result in another season of Channel 5 Cup or worse, Vauxhall Conference League.

But you’re clearly clueless about how money should be spent, you just want the club to spend, regardless of whether a particular player is the right one in the long term. That’s just being stupid, no other way to describe it really.

I want the club to spend because we NEED to. Our first 11 is outstanding but our squad is nowhere near the quality we need. Another season out of the CL and we can say goodbye to Salah, Alisson, VVD, Diaz etc. Also, can't see Szob or AMA being happy playing yet another season of lower tier European football.
But hey, at least we'll win the Net Spend trophy again though 👍
