Did Virgil really take that long to get off the pitch and did he abuse the ref.
I think we all know the answer to that.
Yes he did, swore at him and the 4th official

That you even have to ask this
I think his departure was no way as long as they are making it out. Maybe we should now have a count down to leave the pitch
It's more about the abuse he was dishing out.
As the captain he has a right to discuss this. The Capt is the only one who genuinely can....
They claim he used abusive language and yes he didnt leave the pitch fast enough so if its true he deserves it. And the club should fine him wages for the extra games he will miss because of it. Idiotic thing to do that was never gonna achieve anything other than further punishment.
Why do I feel this is the FA trying to get back at lfc fir the rescinded ref for MacAllister.

Because as a Liverpool fan you have a hilarious ability to turn yourself into the victim of a witch hunt.

I thought everyone was an ABU and we're all jealous and wanting to see United fail.
Taking too much time to leave the pitch is bullsheet IMO but if he talked smack to the ref then that's a wrap. He'll be found guilty of both though.
Stonewall pen unfortunately, and he was gobby as he came off. Seemed to fire us up though.
It's Joes time to grab himself a spot in the team. He played a blinder on Sunday.
If the ref gave the foul, then it had to be a red card. Nothing to complain about regarding that specific decision in the match.
To be fair some of the delay in leaving the pitch was waiting for the VAR confirmation. That bit isn't his fault.

Was always going to happen, plenty called it at the time including myself.
Hopefully just a fine but not a great look from our new captain.

those aren't mutually exclusive positions
I for one now fully support anyone attacking a sunday league ref.
Its a free for all now lads. all respect is gone.
(and isn't that the whole point of doing this rampant little hitler approach to enforcing what rules you feel like enforcing)
In fact I think a concerted campaign of referee abuse is required up and down the country in support of the poor afflicted premier league players.
He called the ref a "f'ing cheat". That'll do it I am afraid.
VVD can have no complaints about this bit. The error of the decision does not mitigate the actions that come after it. My big issue, however, is whether this is consistent. Will every player who goes on a tirade be charged? Will they just drop this in a few weeks time when the momentum goes out of it?
Already seeing the yellow card for asking for a yellow card thing being all over the shop.

My main issue is the selective awards of bookings re yellow. Eg where was joelintons yellow card for demanding virgil to be sent off. They need to be consistent and they clearly are not.
The ref didn’t have a very good day despite getting the red card spot on
He should have booked Gordon for clattering into TAA, but after getting that wrong and booking TAA he then followed it up with a failure to show TAA a second yellow for his challenge on Gordon, bit of a $hitshow all round really in that little scenario
Also allowed Joelinton to commit a fair few fouls
Klopp had to shove VVD down the tunnel in the end and basically apologise to the 4th official who he had been mouthing off too as he left the field

Ffs I’ve heard it all now! Why oh why do Liverpool fans actually believe these things happen?
