Not a bad shout, and in mentioning a talented Italian player you've reminded me than Sandro Tonali absolutely should have been in my original list. Given that Tonali has actually moved club's already then I'd bump him in ahead of Ounahi.

Whilst I don't share your dislike of Mount, I remain skeptical of his signing, especially when Tonali went to Newcastle for slightly less money.
Maddison was good value, but wouldn't get a sniff with Bruno in there. Liked him since I saw him at OT.
Bellingham, although I don't think we had a shot.
There are lots of examples tbh, Kovacic, Macalister, Tonali are more like what we need than Mount.
Timber, Torres, Disasi.
I won't comment on strikers as I'm yet to see Hoijlund play.
Mac Allister is exactly what Utd need.

It's a shame as we'd not signed him brilliantly for the previous few summers, but we just couldn't keep it up.

I know three of those were unrealistic but it’s a shame a club as big as United couldn’t seriously have been in the race for those big names
Of course, not selling Maguire for big bucks has been frustrating too

And yet Fred had a good season last year - probably better than Mount.
Can't believe Diaby hasn't been mentioned. Much better player than Antony and for about £30m less for the fee.
Mac Allister at £35m certainly looks a really good buy for Liverpool. If they can really nail down the Fabinho replacement, you'd have to say that Mac & Szolsboifoibai both look like very good long term placements for Wijnaldum & Henderson in those box to box roles.
