Chelsea fans booed him apparently. Probably didn't make him too keen on staying
Maybe mind games from Chelsea? They don't seemingly need to sell and he doesn't seem to have much of a future at Chelsea. They probably want a fee for the loan that maybe we aren't willing to match?
I read Fiorentina have rejected our loan deal for Amrabat.
Great, Palace at home in the league cup
Is he cup tied or is that not a thing anymore?

Do we ever get a pub team in these draws?
City away at Newcastle, Arsenal away at Brentford, Chelsea get Brighton.

Bring on Palace
Palace for us, midweek before we play them again at home in the league
Wow City get a half tough draw for once

Think so. Dubravka was cup-tied for the final wasn't he
No different to playing a youth player and sending them out on loan for the season.
Apparently had a shocker from all accounts tonight. Let some other jokers take my tickets tonight. Thank god

Why does that always happen for at least one tie every round, without fail?!
Very unsportsmanlike of Chelsea to play our best left back for the full 90 tonight
Must have been better LBs around than him we could have picked up on loan.
Would be a ridiculously stupid loan signing tbf.
Not often you beat a team twice on the bounce

Probably wanted him to pick up an injury so he doesn’t feel left out when he meets his new teammates
Best something if. If not not. Nothing
I don't get the hate for this player. He was the bees knees 2 seasons ago, now most fans don't want to go near him.

Really? Who?
He was class at Brighton and had one poor season in a Chelsea team that were a shambles all season. If he'd secured that move to City we'd be talking about him very differently I suspect.

It depends how long Malacia and Shaw are out for. Dalot is even more useless at left back than right back (which takes some doing) so we need something better. But once Shaw gets back he's Curcurella isn't going to keep him out.

He’s been awful for over a year though, really awful.
He’s not a long term signing, a loan for short term of a player in terrible form that won’t have the time to adapt or recover his form from 2 years ago, if he ends up being good in 6 months time Shaw will be back by then anyway and he’ll be back off to Chelsea.
Just paying more wages to someone else who’s likely going to do really badly instead of just letting one of our own players already here do the job and use the money elsewhere.
