it's cool, we appointed rodgers.
he's going to make us a force in europe.
Ach. Matters not a jot
For the first time I have absolutely zero desire to go and watch us abroad after having suffered under Rodgers first time round when we were just the whipping boys.

so there is no manager out there able to make us a force in Europe
we would expect to at least be competitive against some CL teams , or thats where we want to get to but its ridiculously hard - you seen Rangers last night - embarrassed by what in CL terms is a mediocre team .
I fear what the elite will do to us but its worth getting in and getting out of for the money
The funny bit about it is the same lunatics that thought that was possible have somehow, someway, ignored the fact he has managed us in europe before.
mind blowing stuff.
All about taking the money and trying to keep the score down, as we all know. Would’ve been far more interested in the draw had Ange still been at the helm. As it is, meh. Had briefly considered paying an arm and a leg to try to get a package to come down for the 3 home games … then the season started, so nah.

Ah yes. The money
Don’t we have shedloads of that already?
I’ve never been an advocate of the thought process that we head out and buy 3 or 4 players at the £10-15m mark that actually could make a difference.
But I am for the 3-4 players of the £5-10m mark that would make our football far more enjoyable, secure domestic success and keep the money wheel turning without the regular European humiliations.
More money means not a lot other than maintaining a wonderful balance sheet but it’s meaningless unless we use it.

yeah, this
there are bargains to be had but its not the only market we should be shopping in.

I'm making progress I see?
The problem otherwise is risking letting Rangers in for a piece of the action. The ideal scenario is that they plough away in the ropey cup earning the coefficient that we can benefit from winning the league and getting direct entry every year.
I'll be happy this year to get more points than last time. 3 draws or a win and it at least validates somewhat our place at the table.
i mean, i've been banging this drum for years mate
i'm going back to bangura days ffs
Hope he starts mikey johnstone up front again
Think we've now lost automatic qualification as well now. Commentators said turkey and someone else has overtaken us.

Likewise.
3 or 4 decent quality signings a season (and NOT meaning £10m+ ones) really shouldn’t be beyond us. Enough to cement things domestically, and at least giving us a chance of avoiding Euro embarrassment. Basically a decent quality first XI, but we’re light in a few areas there at the moment.
