I agree. Right now we need to start Sasa and get some balls in the box for him or just knock downs, either way It seems like the only way we will score goals

Agreed. Let’s pump it up to the big man and get it in the mixer, as Mick would say. 👍

This!!
GON is probably only marginally better than Mick tbh.
Way to early to call for his head but we are not going to progress much, if at all, with GON sadly.
Question is how long will we wait to pull the trigger. It really isn't that much of a stretch to see us with less than ten points going into December.
Luton away after Liverpool is already looking like a big game isn't it?
Next five home games are Liverpool, Man City, Villa, Spurs and Toon.
Just watched the replay on Peacock as I was out during the match.
There were certainly some positives to take from the game and I thought we were the better side for around 75 minutes. Lemina and Neto stood out for me and the former was a tad unlucky with their 2nd. Kilman did his best for their first, but was just beaten to it.
I'm finding it hard to understand the criticism of any of our players by some on here. I thought both full backs did ok and I'm sure yellow cards had a lot to do with the substitutions.
Overall, I thought we were unlucky to lose the game and can't complain about any of our players performances, except possibly Fabio. Interesting that both of our goals were from crosses by Neto and it's probably going to be our best chance of getting more goals this season. As for the notion of "pumping it up to the big man", that's not what's needed, but we have players who can get to the by line and put in decent crosses. A tactic that Sasa would relish I believe.
So, even though we didn't't get any points, I was pleased with the overall performances of all the players and the team in general.

Goodness me, are you starting this crap already? Have you even taken into consideration the number of top teams we're starting our season against and with a manager who's only just getting used to the squad?
By the way, take a look at the four teams above us in the table.

Starting this crap? You mean by normally being the most patient with new managers?
Ironic you chose not to be very supportive of Julen but now defend GON.
What I have said isn't a stretch, we could be low on points two months from now. How long would Fosun wait? Not asking for his head as I made clear.
You may not be directly, but:-
"...but we are not going to progress much, if at all, with GON sadly."
By the way, I stated, as many others did, that he did a good job keeping us up and who knows what he would have done this season, but I certainly wasn't suggesting we should "pull the trigger".
I'm afraid that you alone, are the most impatient poster on here.

But yet i haven't asked for us to pull the trigger on GON.
I was behind Lage for over a year. Wanted Julen more than anyone and backed Nuno all the way til it was obvious he was done.
The reality is GON is a risky appointment, not many would argue otherwise.

And yeah, I don't think we are going to progress much from one of the top tier coaches in Europe. Shocking right
It is a good job headers count these days as all our goals this season have come with the head.
Missed most of that today, most reports seem to indicate we didn't play well. Disappointing in a game we should have had a chance of getting something out of. Every point will be precious this season and we can't afford defensive performances like that.
First half we looked alright til the final third to be honest goldi. The substitutions or lack there of cost us the game more than anything.
Ah OK, the BBC reporter gave a different impression but then they often do. Sounded like Eze was the only one playing first half.
we had a lot of possession first half
Did the stadium tour on Saturday, facilities have certainly improved a bit since I last did one in the 80s! There's a back lit panel in the tunnel near the home dressing room with a pic of the fans in the north bank, yours truly dead centre. Little wonder we're so sh*t if that's last thing they see before they go on to the pitch.
Other surprising thing was the players & families lounge, a pokey little room just off the reception with some cheap kids toys stuffed up one corner and a coffee machine. Even the tour guide kept saying how shat it was.
Unrelated but on a similar theme, it was much more noticeable on a non match day how shabby the ground looks on the outside, generally the north bank is still in good nick but the other stands, especially the Steve Bull could do with a lick of paint. Noticed it too on Tuesday night in the south bank, peeling paint and 30 years of cobwebs, not a good look for a premier league club.
