In Ange we trust. I hope he proves me wrong too.

What does he have to do to prove you wrong?

Should we have bought Kulu or will he now be converted to a 10 or a Maddison back up.

Put up better numbers than I expect him to.

That I was wrong to doubt his ability in relation to players we were apparently after like Fati, Orban etc. But chose to go with Johnson instead.

Doesn't end up like Dan James at Man Utd.

Kulu is still playing shat for me.

The initial few games he played for us are looking like flukes or a complete lie 🤷🏽🥲

Strange signing, but if Ange is happy, then i'm happy

Personally, I think he'll be better than a lot people expect playing in a stronger team, with better players for a manager who's style will suit him.

Can't worry about the money.... The mkt is what it is.. makes no sense.... would love an alternative to Richy if we are not getting another CB

posted on 1/9/23

We still need a CB that's as clear as daylight for me!

If we do get Gallagher. I hope that is not detrimental to Sarr's development.

I rate Johnson so hope he goes well. Not really sure we need Gallagher as well, would much rather another central defender or a striker.

Good player, like most buys the last few days overpriced but that's not his fault.
Think he'll do well.

Dan James Lets hope not although DJ hadnt played in the PL b4 going to United so at least BJ has and shown he can compete.

How many goals / contributions do you expect of him? DO you see him playing in Dekis position or Richy's and as a starter or sub?

posted on 1/9/23

I hope he's brought into to Challenge Deki... would give us pace down the outside on the right.... I guess he could play centrally too if Richie struggles. ?

Did you see that comment Ange made the other day when asked about Maddison being a bargain.....His response something like "in what world is paying £45m for anything a bargain?"

Top bloke

It all looks very meh but we have to try and reassure ourselves that Ange wanted him. Better for the manager to get the players he wants if we believe he is the right manager.

Exactly what Ange needs, pace to burn, play anywhere across the front 3, expect him to score more goals than Kulusevski this season

Have you seen his finishing? Misses loads of chances - what Forest have got for him is daylight robbery

Johnson and Gallagher, hmm I wouldn’t be overly excited with either, but your boss might turn them into very good players.

I can't see him scoring more than 8 maybe 9?

We need more, but if thats 8-9 per player from all our attackers it can make a difference, so I get it.

Assist wise im not sure, need to see how he's incorporated into Anges' system.

I see him playing wide to support Richy who I think will be played centrally.

But I've seen stats showing that Richy is best played on the left of a 3?

That's my thinking too.

The home grown is definitely adding another £10-15m to his price 🤦🏾

Hardly. The lad is 22 and has better output than Harvey Barnes at that age and he just went for £40m, while they also got Gordon (21) for £45m and he never scored more than 4 goals in a PL season.

Its comparable value to similar home grown talent with some PL experience, and whatever we have "overpaid" we have more than made up with by robbing Leicester for Maddison

posted on 1/9/23

That was a fair argument about Cole Palmer going to Chelsea for £40m+ without even playing in ht PL.

But for £40-50m in Europe you would be able to choose from players that seem to have a higher ceiling.

That's the thing. The prices for HG players are so skewed.

Can you imagine paying £75 and £85m for Sancho or Maguire now?!

Wtf

Not to say that the fees for Gordon and what Chelsea are now paying for unknowns has messed it up for everyone else.

I’m with The Hezzman on all of this.

Just really hoping it works out.

Kulu isn’t cutting it at all so maybe the competition will help.

I just get the feeling it will be another “we spend the money it just didn’t work out” signing - really hope this isn’t the case.

The one thing that doesn’t ring true about him being an Ange target is why would it take until the last 10 days to start going after your No.1 target?

Fingers crossed the lad can step up because we need him to improve and develop.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Deki a goal and an assist so far......just aint cutting it get rid .

Knowing the way Levy works:

1. NF probably wanted 50m and our interest will have unsettled the player a bit and so their price softens a bit, probably saving us £5m

2. We havent had to pay BJ wages for those 10 days so probably £200k saved there too Im convinced thats why Levy loves late deals, saves millions on wages over the summer...every little helps
