Maddison is THE bargain of the transfer window, no doubt on that
Being saying Son down the middle will work. As others have previously said, he was fine when Kane was out with the ankle injuries.
Yeah we made a brilliant signing with Maddison. Hopefully that’s Son away now, he needed that and we all know he is capable of banging 20 in this season starting as the centre forward in the 3.
Richy played wide left at Everton so we have plenty of choice now with him, Solomon, Johnson and Kulu to keep it fresh up there - that’s the one area we can rotate without too much drop off in quality.
Was really impressed with Solomon today - he looked very good

His best position in my opinion - now he has lost that bit of pace he is far more effective centrally and he is a genuine 2 footed finisher - Maddison is making this side sing though, the man is unbelievably good
I wonder if Richy celebrated Son's goals
With Johnson we can rotate the front 3 more, be Interesting to see what Ange comes up with
As long as Ange does not make wholesale changes, we should do ok....Probably we will just make the top half
Solomon, Richy, Gil, Son, Kulu, Johnson - if he uses Son down the middle then we have great cover in the wider areas.
Postecoglou in response to being asked if Son’s performance up front today was part of what he envisioned when not signing another #9:
“It's not exactly why [we didn’t sign one] but it's one of the reasons. I've got a picture in my head of what I want the team to look like and I keep saying that we're still at the beginning, we're still building and there's still a lot to be done. It's about putting all the pieces together and at the same time not neglecting what's right in front of you. There are some really good footballers at this club and I think they have the ability to play in the way this team needs to set up. Sonny whether he's playing central or wide, he's got all the characteristics - mate he can play in any system - but the way we play he's ideal.”

Yeah also liked his comments on Johnson, how he fits the group well personally but also brings something different to the table

Richy knows he will get plenty of opportunities - I think Ange will rotate that front 3 a lot and he is not shy at making subs
we need a plan for if maddison is out...its inevitable that he will pick up a knock on international duty and miss the NLD and liverpool game.
