Not for Sale: Glazer's Man Utd

posted on 2/9/23

The Glazers are thick-skinned and won’t be influenced by any negative fan reactions,’ said the source, adding the family’s original plan was to attract multiple serious bidders, and that didn’t materialise.

They are holding out for £10bn

posted on 2/9/23

They live in the states they don't give a feck.

10 billion is overly ambitious. We probably won't be worth that for another 25 years.

posted on 2/9/23

Even for the Glazers, £10-billion is an fantasised number conjured by the media.

I'm genuinely under the impression that this was either a strategy to ease fan pressure at the time, or a complete wind-up by the Glazers.

We didn't have the required funds to get in the players we needed this summer. Smoke and mirrors to deflect that fact.

Jesus Christ we are fekkkkked. What have we done to deserve this!!!!

Yeh. Im hearing this. Especially after this trabsfer window. The parasiteswilll go back to the market in 2025 looking for £10m. Good luck with that.

If true, the chit will hit the fan. No infrastructure development to OT and Carrington. We regress further vs other Clubs in the PL.

It looks like its all been a complete waste of time and we are stuck with them.

If they were gonna sell they would of done it the moment a suitable bid came in.

10 billion is fantasy, they know that, they've played their hand wellm

Isn't this the same paper that was reporting a few weeks back that Sheikh will be taking over in mid October......... I'll take this with a pinch of salt

Almost certain no one knows what the fck is honestly going on?

Hadn't really thought about the Glazers up this point but atm I feel they are being "obtuse" at best?

posted on 2/9/23

This isn’t a surprise at all, they were never going to sell

posted on 2/9/23

This seems to me an attempt to get a buyer to stump up a little bit more. No way are they holding out for £10bn. What have they gained by this exercise if they never wanted to sell or get investment anyway?

I reckon that a sale is therefore quite likely very soon.

Don't see it myself. The sheikh looks fed up and is not going to stump additional cash. Sir Jim bid looks dead as well.
The Glazers are leeches going nowhere

Depends how you define "end of the world" having Trump & Boris in power at the same time is pretty close

The Dallas Cowboys are worth 9bn USD according to Forbes.

So I don't think 10bn GBP for Man Utd is crazy tbh.

They generate about 25% more revenue than United and have a modern stadium that doesn't need a huge revamp/completely replacing.

Well given that Forbes valued us at under half that I think most sane people would think that is crazy tbf

Only way to get them out is to risk the value of the club falling below the current 6 Billion. Empty stadiums is one, but that needs to be without season ticket renewals. Doing it once the season starts is pointless as they already have their revenue. Given the high portion of season tickets that make up our match day, it has to be done in the summer. But most won't risk losing their season tickets spots.

Also, the other way is to hit them is to devalue the club through sponsors. Make them undesirable tonco-brand with. But I've yet to see any sort of strategy that hit existing sponsors hard enough for them to pull out, or detering new sponsors.
