You kidding? He may have hit the post twice, but one led to a goal and it means he’s getting in the right positions and causing problems for the oppo defence.

He's pressed well today and won the corner we scored from. He should have buried at least one of his chances but he's getting into the right positions.

Don't think his link up play is ever going to be that good.

So far so good. A Nunez goal second half would be nice

I'm probably being too harsh on the lad but some players however good they are become super subs, like our own David Fairclough...

Nunez is doing very well. His link up has improved and running behind is good also. Love his energy.

Mac Allister is giving us that ball retention which we lacked last season. He is perfect in first phase, is press resistant, and doesn't rush things up and always keep possession to control the game.

Villa are a good side so we’ve done well to control the game, have to think there will be a reaction from them second half. We will get chances for the third goal with as they’ll have to press us more and that high line will get even higher.

Gomez and Robbo defended well, aside from Gomez slip. Villa best chances come from us losing it cheaply on the ball.

Need to guard against complacency and warn players to take care on the ball and be concentrated and alert. But ive a feeling we're gonna start the 2nd half and concede, Villa wont keep missing chances or playing this badly if we keep gifting them sniffs.

I get that, but I’m not sure it applies to Darwin at the moment. He doesn’t seem short of confidence.

Stickers feed on it. I just think if he can go on a 3 or 4 game run his game will prob go to another level

Nunez has improved his pressing. Much more intelligent how he presses the CB with curved runs instead of running straight.

Szoboszlai is becoming my favourite player so quickly
