It was pretty even overall. Another day we win that game. We played a lot worse against them last season and won 3-1, and lost with the very last kick of the game at the Emirates after getting battered.

Agreed. The result is a kick in the guts but I don't get all the DOOMED takes. We improved as the game went on, failed to take the lead by the width of a pube, conceded when we had our fourth and fifth choice centeal defenders on the pitch, and requiring a wicked deflection. Final goal was a typical counterpunch when you might as well risk it. Against the toughest opposition we've faced this season we played our best game, and our midfield was much harder to play through. And we have several first choice players / good options who weren't available today.

Much closer defensively to what ETH wants I'm sure.

If when we can add Amrabat, Mount, Hojlund, Shaw and Varane into the equation we'll be much better again too.

Surprised more wasn’t made of the manhandling on Evans for the second goal.

Yeah it was a clear foul on Evans. Sort of reminds me of us under Ole when we were in a title race they gave wrong decisions deliberately to stop us winning.

If you look closely at the replay, you'll see that the Arsenal player had hold of Evans in such a way that it actually played Garnacho onside too.

Honestly think I might as well quit watching football. The corruption against us is insane.

Gary Neville will never make more of anything that goes against United, for fear of appearing biased. That Saka tackle in the first half, if it's Casemiro, he's making his wee "oooooooooooh" noise and saying he's a lucky boy to stay on

Even if you haven't seen the replay you can see that hafi is always right

Saka should have been sent off, ref gave a penalty for a dive by Arsenal but had to overturn it and then doesn’t give us a clear goal and clear penalty.

Also Evans fouled for 2nd Arsenal goal.

I don’t think that refs are against, they just know that if they make a mistake against, it won’t be discussed by the media during two weeks. Arsenal’s winning goal was a foul on Evans, but the English media will focus on how important a player Rice is, and how Arsenal were right to pay all that money for him.
