Jadon Sancho

Ten Hag did throw him under the bus but Sancho's reaction hasn't helped him one bit.

"Jadon, on his performances in training we did not select him," the United boss said after the defeat.

"You have to reach a level every day at Manchester United and we can make choices in the front line. So for this game he was not selected."

I don't think the above is too bad really. If I was Sancho I'd just get my head down and show Ten Hag he was wrong. A good performance next time and a "Is that better?" post would have been much better and something Ten Hag would probably be pleased about.

This. If I need to choose between him and Anthony, I go with Sancho just because there is at least that element of surprise to his game unlike the dead-end runner.

Rumour is he has really bad timekeeping as he plays COD into the late hours, and so turns up.late at Carrington.
He was apparently spoken to about this throughout last season but hasn't listened.

Don’t think what EtH said was that harsh, especially considering he’s said/done similar things to Garnacho and Rashford. What makes this different is the fact EtH had given Sancho time off last season and seemingly has tried to give him space to get over issues. Coming out and claiming to be a scapegoat while being dogsh-t for 2 seasons was a pretty stupid thing to say imo and makes him look like a t-t.

Im pretty sure Utd have a social media policy that players have to have all club related messages approved before posting. That in itself is a breach and a fine.
Looks like he's gone Rogue One

When you think back to City letting him go and mentioining his poor attitude, and Dortmund also having issues with his off-field behaviour, the lad has some issues.

Rashford got dropped last year for being late, did Rashford say anything on social media? No he missed a game and went back to scoring.

Sancho has been given time away from football to get things right in his personal life and hes now not hitting the level ETH expects.

Sancho completely in the wrong for contradicting the manager on social media. Sell him in Jan. He's had two years now, hasn't been good enough, now hes going public with gripes. Time to sell in Jan

Just get your head down, score a goal and run to the manager if you need to show something. A manager would love that really. Not a petulant social media post!

ETH was asked the question and he gave an honest reply. The proper response from Sancho is to get his head down and prove the manager wrong.

ETH should have just said he wasnt selected. And that would have been that.
But by highlighting what he did, i think he's had enough of him and just publicly ripped him one.
There were rumours last week of Sancho being sold. Those were probably true. ETH has backed him but probably feels let down by Sancho's continuous poor attitude.

He'll be out of here in January

Public bickering between the manager and player.

Who is in the wrong?

+++++

Always the player.

He better get his head down and deliver or he will be toast.

Yes he could have said that but then the rumourmill could have gone into overdrive. Even yesterday morning I read rumours about him.

Roy's Keane - that should be the player's response. It's not like he's not been given opportunities! He needs to grab them.

Back the manager. Otherwise it's all over. Player power can't win.

Sancho has been crap for two years. He clearly has issues off the pitch and the rumours are that it was drug related that made him miss 3 months of the season despite no injury.

Get rid. I'm sick of these nothing players spitting their dummy out.

Sancho will be finished at OT now, don’t think ETH is the kind of manager to let that slide.

I agree, back the manager, but this club has a tendency to back the players who inevitably throw the manager under the bus.

Going by ETH logic he won’t be fielding a team in coming weeks as none of those players are “reaching a level every day”!

rashford has the most active pr team of any united player, at certain points in his career- basically, when he's underperformed - there has been a constant flow of leaked comments/media puff pieces on him to excuse his play.

he's the last player i would use as an example of "when it's not going well he keeps his head down and plays better".

Some of the defence of Sancho is laughable tbh. If you really think what EtH said was ‘ripping him one’ or ‘calling him out’ or whatever then I genuinely don’t know. He was asked a direct question about a player and said he wasn’t picked because he wasn’t performing. Simple as that. The exact reason every player is not picked. This current situation where you can’t say boo to anyone in case you hurt their feelings is beyond silly. As many have said, Sancho should have took it on board and got the head down, but nope, like so many now a days he throws the toys out of the pram and puts out a ridiculous ‘poor me’ statement.

He's also our best attacker by a billion miles and has been directly involved in all of the 4 goals against Forest and Arsenal. Think where we'd be without him? Certainly not in the CL this year. We'd also be sitting on 3pts now instead of 6.

Rashford took his benching last year for being late well and owned up. He didn't make excuses. Came on at half time and won us the game with the only goal.

Rashford is in a different league to Sancho. People now realizing just how poor the Bundesliga has become.

Maybe the United shirt is too heavy for him, like we saw with Mkhitaryan & Kagawa
