Similar happened to Mendy at City and he was released, a different type of offence though.
Seems Antony will be cancelled regardless of whether he’s guilty.

" I wish it wasn't happening [o players from our club."
I assume this is a typo and you meant to write "I wish this wasn't happening to women".
Of course, he might be innocent, but if this sort of thing didn't go on then there wouldn't be spurious accusations, should that prove to be the case.
Regardless of the outcome, he career is effectively finished. I would be shocked if he ever plays for United again. Keep in mind Greenwood who was also not found guilty of anything has been cast aside.
The standard has been set. Fans expect now as soon as an allegation is made the player is cancelled. He is finished at United.

The difference (so far) between Greenwood and Antony is that we've seen and heard what Greenwood did. We don't have anything like that about Antony yet.
If he doesn't get done for this, and we don't hear/see anything, then he plays for United again no doubt. Greenwood would be in the United squad now if it wasn't for that audio/video.
I think there's a distinct possibility that these women have been paid to make up these stories by SE85.

Greenwood wasnt 'found' Not Guilty'. Or 'Guilty', even. In fact the case never even went to Court.
Keep up.
For those forum members already upset about the Woke Mob ending the career of a man on the basis of accusations that may not lead to conviction:
- Please note that the majority of posters here who couldn't reconcile themselves with Greenwood's return to United (on the basis of what we heard him say) are being much more cautious in this case because we don't have first-hand evidence and respect the need for the appropriate authorities to objectively assess the available evidence.
- I think our discourse needs to be more nuanced in general when we talk about the women who have made accusations of rape or domestic abuse. Yes, we have to assume innocence until guilt is proven. But we also know that a miniscule % of these cases result in successful convictions because it's so hard to prove. This means we can be fairly confident that there are *legally* innocent footballers who in reality did rape their accusers. There's not much we can do about that, I'm not saying they should be driven out of the game - unless there's undisputed evidence which doesn't meet the threshold to convict but does tell us the individual treated a woman horrifically. I am saying we should be nuanced when talking about these cases, especially when talking about the alleged victims. Not just with their feelings in mind, but because our online speech is also visible to other people who may have been victims of rape and abuse, and who have not felt that the people around them or the legal system will believe them.
And I can't really see how Antony could play for United again.
While we have no idea what's really happened it doesn't look good for Antony. I just hope the club are trying their best to identify issues such as this (I understand that's incredibly hard) when buying players.

There's plenty of whoppers on Twitter proclaiming themselves United fans just to drive people to their Only Fans that one of them may well make up allegations against someone like Haaland (for example) just for clout.
Antony will probably be suspended but, in the absence of anything damning in the public domain, then on this occasion we'll have to go with the decision of the CPS etc IMO.
These are very tricky situations. Burden of proof in a court of justice is a completely different issue to the concerns of an elite football club regarding its own public image, which is an essential part of the modern business.

Sorry, but you're not paying attention. This is patently untrue. And, I assume without malice, you've framed it as if the player and the club are the victims and that is genuinely how some will feel about it.
I've read plenty of your comments to know this isn't how you would feel about it, btw.

Although you are correct to a degree, his initial statement stands. Look at Benjamin Mendy, yes he was no world class fullback but he was loved at City and featured for Pep.... career at the highest level ruined!
I always thought this was a stinking deal, if it does come to light that he did these things, I would go as far as this is our most diabolical deal in premier league era, as this guy is woeful. He not even Valencia level.
