I'm worried that even after so many games and injuries GM still doesn't seem to have a settled team. Just too many basic errors and inconsistency . I'm with Donaldo in that if we don't get anything from this game some serious questions need to be asked. Not sure what to predict but I've a sinking feeling about this one. It really is a case of "Who knows", not only from the startimg team to whom of those really show up.
I'll keep my optimistic hat on (we have to win some time...???), and say 1-3 to the good Rovers.
Who to score? If he starts, Miller, if not Hurst, if neither starts, who knows.
If I get up earlier enough and see the starers, I may change that.

At least FGR won’t have had time to study Jones’s weaknesses, but then again perhaps he has got better under Letheren’s coaching because Lawlor could have benefited. We just cannot afford to make gifts.

It will be interesting to find out “how” victory was achieved because Liam Hoden’s commentary on the game as a whole was not much better than getting it in text. I don’t like his excitement when the opposition score.

Robbie Andrews has done the iFollow commentaries when there is a video stream and he is good, but today there was much more atmosphere generated by the FGR commentators from the local radio station. And they had not even learned the Rovers players’ names.

I think we were a bit fortunate to grab the last minute winner and it is a pity that we could not keep up the apparent quality of the first half performance. I think McCann will have reservations about how it was done.

Well done Crazy on a 100% forecast. The Forest Green commentators were full of praise for our first goal - so perhaps that will have annoyed their fans who were listening.

All teams need luck at times! What a mixed emotion game - from joy at some good play, to nerve wracking chaos and panic at times.
Jones was just about the best I've seen of him; Molyneux was a "little off the boil" compared with earlier games, as was Faal. Westbrooke seems to get better by the game, and Marsh looked a little better than last time.
Still much work to do to get some consistency into the squad.It will be interesting to see whom he plays on Tuesday.

Just the lucky break we needed. Should boost confidence. But what on earth is going on with injuries? Not all but some of it must be linked to the boots they're wearing and the hybrid pitch. See there was a similar issue in the NFL recently re grass v turf pitches.

Players and the Players Association are asking for grass as a way to prevent major leg injuries from cutting or twisting when a leg becomes planted in turf with no give. According to the NFLPA, players have a 28% higher rate of non-contact lower body injuries when playing on artificial turf.

The resilience in the pitch required for Rugby League probably doesn’t help and I cannot understand the financial advantages in supporting the Dons especially if this is the cause of the injuries to the soccer players.

It was groin injuries which were ascribed to the pitch when SOD was manager, but they were more technical than the current lot.

Having just read McCann's comments in the DFP about the injuries, something has to change. However, isn't the training ground, Cantley Park, all real grass?

Here is the DPL table with Crazy the star performer especially with the bonus prediction for the FGR game. The 2 goals illustrate the value of the unexpected strike. As well as the Biggins goal Ironside had an overhead kick go only just wide in the first half which makes you wonder if they had been practising them. If the ball is behind you and you cannot get into a conventional position quickly enough it seems a good option and is difficult for the goalkeeper to anticipate. In fact we have scored with a lot of long range shots in recent times and there is always an element of the unexpected about them.

Still both England rugby and Rovers are heading in the right direction.

I think I understand the connection Nookie, but I don’t really follow Rugby very closely. I’m sure that when I was at primary school my school team (Wheatley Juniors) had better headers of the ball than Olowu. (I can’t say I ever enjoyed it and rarely attempted it, but I was never a very good player anyway.)

If you headed a ball in bad weather in our day you normally knocked yourself out the ball was that heavy.

It will be interesting to see who plays tonight. You would expect Faulkner to get a game and the PL loanees too, and the other players who regularly sit on the bench must surely start as well.
