Overturning the handball penalty for Newcastle.
But to be fair they were all pretty straightforward calls.
The Newcastle penalty and the Newcastle disallowed goals were just go with the on-field call, I doubt VAR would have changed either if the ref gave the other call. No issues with either tbh, both soft but both had merit.

Fair. Just seemed a bit better quality with the officiating for once, it really has been poor this season (and last).
What do you think I'd the huge amounts of injury time DJ?
12 mins seems a bit daft to me.
I don't mind the injury time if teams have been taking the piiiiss (or there has been a lot of injuries). Nothing worse than seeing a team take 15 minutes out of a half and then the board goes up with a "3". The question I would have is the consistency of it - same with bookings for time wasting.
As has been said by many, you wonder why it is the refs responsibility to be the time keeper when you have a 4th official and 2 VAR officials. Seems like a job that could be done more efficiently by someone else and take that extra job from the ref.
I thought the Wilson goal ruled out for a foul on the keeper was a bad call

You can see Wilson grab the keepers arm though and impact him, so if the ref thought that was enough I don't think you can argue with the on-field call.
Don't really want VAR to get involved with that.
I agree, the pen for villa was wrong imo but var did its job correctly and sent the ref to the screen.
Wilson went straight for the keeper had no intention to win the ball just wanted to block the keeper. Keeper was pathetically weak but atleast he was going for the ball.
Added time was shown to be a bit silly in the Liverpool game. 8 mins played for 10 or 12? Wolves time wasted soon as we took a 2-1 lead that 8 mins should have been reduced. No way wolves deserved to benefit from timewasting.

Quansah went down with cramp, will be from that.
Why do we keep saying ‘VAR had a good weekend or VAR had a bad weekend or VAR got this or that wrong?’
VAR is simply the technology to assist referees. How it’s implemented and used is down to the referees and also IFABs current regulations. When VAR was first implanted in the 2018 World Cup it was almost spotless. Why? Because the standard of refereeing is much higher.
The technology isn’t the issue - the issue has and always has been the standard of refereeing in the PL. Why else do we hardly ever have refs from this league representing in world cups and euros anymore?
VAR stands for? theres 2 refs in a room, it has to be used correctly by them in order for it to assist the on field ref correctly.
VAR is the Video Assistant Referee - the actual human being who uses video replays.
VAR stands for?
Is the right question and also answer.
That's also why we don't say, 'Goal line technology had a good weekend'.
you just answered your own question at the end there. thats why we're saying ‘VAR had a good weekend or VAR had a bad weekend or VAR got this or that wrong?’
Clearly referring to the refs in VAR.

That’s fair enough. I guess what I’m referring to in a way is people slating the introduction of VAR as if the technology is ruining the game. I’m not saying that’s the nature of this article - so I’m going on a bit of a tangent I guess - but it’s also grated me a little that people feel the introduction of the technology is to blame rather than the real issue

of which yesterday they did well, unless im missing something. Theres still 3 games to go though, part of me is expecting a huge error before the gameweeks out. Hopefully not though, it'd be a nice sooner than expected improvement.

I'd agree on that, people get frustrated when VAR is there but they still get it wrong which is unerstandable. To slow the game down and still get it wrong isn't a great advert for VAR. You're right thats down to the competency of officiating in the league not the technology.

Kind of why I posted actually. A lot say 'get rid if it', but not many are positive when it gets game changing decisions correct, like this weekend.

Fair enough, I just thought it was an extremely soft call.
Was soft goalkeeping for sure Pranks, but still when ones going for the ball the others going for the player i've no issue with it.
Villa's pen was ridiculous. How was that a clear and obvious error? It took 5 mins to figure out, pundits were split on it also. Another example of VAR interfering instead of assisting.
the one where the defender won the ball twice? that was very harsh, but atleast it was the refs decision, VAR sent him to the screen he stuck with his original decision and gave the pen didnt he?

Disagree. Game is 90 minutes and time wasted should be reimbursed at the end of the game. Wolves aren't benefitting by the game actually lasting how long it's supposed to.

Everyone will be burnt out by April and that could affect selection for the Euros. It should make players cut out timewasting.
I was glad of that extra in time yesterday for sure!!!
