We're waiting for Amrabat and Mainoo (who hasn't made the OP's list) to return from injury and transform our season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Both to make the Bayern game?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've got a gentleman's agreement with Bayern not to play them so as to keep it an even contest.

He's keeping the medical team on their toes
us. Wouldnt wanna any of the united lot, maybe casemiro as he could be the 6 for a season
No idea, half of these players have hardly played for their new clubs.
So many of the list have yet to play, difficult to tell.
We've got a lot of options but not a huge amount of experience. Utd have a load of experience but Casemiro and Eriksen both turn 32 this season.
I'm a lot happier about our midfield having seen Szobo play a few competitive games though. He's a cracking player.

United on paper, Liverpool on grass
----------------------------------------------------------------------
but who on peds?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tbf cassemiro will need more than peds atm.
Table tells you Liverpool are around 7 points better at present, and our mf is a huge part of that. Not one man u player has played better than Szlob or mac, I would add to that, Elliott has been better than utds mfs too when hes come on.
We have yet to see Thiago, Bajcetic and Gravenberch properly either...in short, we fk all over utds mf...imo!
Man Utd biggest weakness is our defenders and strikers. We averaged a goal with just over 17 shots since Ten Hag got the job in the league. That is the main issue. Everyone made fun of Nunez last season but his conversion rate was better than the whole Man Utd squad by a huge margin.
We massively outshot Man City last season in all competitions. If we shot as few times as Man City last season Ten Hag might have lost his job and we missed more big chances than them.
Prime Xavi and Iniesta would somehow not be able to pass a ball five yards and be totally shiiite at the moment playing for us it’s just the way things are.
Rashford has already had 23 shots this season and scored 1 goal which is a 4.34% conversion rate and his conversion rate has been like that for most of 2023 a long with Antony and he missed nearly every big chance he gets. That is what level of strikers we have. If you finish like Nunez of last season at Man Utd you are like Messi in his prime.
I honestly wouldn't take any of the United midfielders at Liverpool

Not this seasons Casemiro, agree in general though.
Liverpool's midfield was atrocious at the weekend. Wolves should have been 3-0 up before they even got going. A better team would have won that game easily.

12:30 game after an international break is never good. But thankfully we got the points and that's all that matters.

Superb.
The OP is obviously low-value 'my dad is bigger than your dad' content but it did make me reflect on one thing: in a very competitive league, the balance between a very good team and a dysfunctional one can be pretty fine. The season before last Liverpool were thrilling. Then last season they were quite disjointed and ineffective for prolonged periods. Now they look like getting back to a much more potent side. It took a few key injuries and certain players just slowing down a bit to make Liverpool a shadow of themselves, and some tactical tweaks and renovation of the midfield to revive the side. United went from awful to a team that looked like building something coherent to awful again. As our fortunes criss-crossed, the respective fans had moments when they could, should they so wish, mock their rivals on the basis of an apparently comfortable gulf in quality. I'm certainly not predicting another imminent reversal but I think it's worth bearing in mind that the adjustments that can shift the competitive edge are - certainly not easy, but marginal.
