It would be statement if we got a result there (win or draw).

Unfortunately I think they might win, we are still early days in Ange's reign and if they are clinical they will get in behind our defense.

Hope I'm wrong!

For the 1st time in quite a few years I’m looking forward to it!!

There are so many battles that will be amazing entertainment to watch.
Udogie V Saka
Rice V maddison
odegaard V Bissouma

im hoping this will be the game that richarlison finally gets his confidence back too.

would take a draw.

I’m certain Ange is gonna tell them to have a go. Could be one of those 5-4 games

It's a huge game, Spurs are on a bit of a high after the start to the season and a win in the NLD derby would lift them ever higher, that said lose the NLD and I think it's Liverpool next, lose that and spirts could be dampened?

Of course 2 wins in those games and I'm sure a load of fans could be re-assessing what Spurs could achieve this year?

As said, a huge game for both teams, don't think Arsenal have looked as good as this stage last year but getting results, really looking forward to watching it and kinda got the feeling a draw will be the result, good luck anyway

One thing for sure guys and gals: We are not going there to defend, we are going there to have a go!!

The ANGE way!

I don;t care what we don as long as we give it 100% and take them all the way to hell

Part of the reason I want the old ‘leadership’ lot gone is I’m sick of bottling games at the emerites, standford bidge, old Trafford. Dier, hjolberg would give it the biggun about ‘giving a performance’ and ‘we know what it means to the fans’ then would roll over like a 6 week old puppy. Sick of it.

Udogie, Sarr, Maddison, vdv, vicario, should all be untainted of such failure. Add in Romero who has actually won things as vice captain and I hope to actually sees spursside give that lot a game at their ground.

They are a good side a lot further into their project than us, so if we lose it will be disappointing, but if we give it a go and challenge them for the three points, we should all have some positives to take from the game

Arsenal's approach to the game will be interesting. When they played Man U they just seemed to sit back a bit without pressing high. If they do that it might not be the goal scoring fest that we would normally imagine. However, if they do press high I think we can play our way out of that quite comfortably now and will hit them with Son's pace in behind (or even Johnson's).

Arsenal flying high and no Kane or his penalties to rely on here. Even a draw would be a very good result. A win however I think would be a huge statement.

Team to select is pretty obvious.

Win, lose, or draw..... This time hopefully we will show up and give them a game and not just roll over.

posted on 19/9/23

Gonna watch them tomorrow night and hope they don't have any injuries.

Just hoping it's a classic. With the way Spurs now play it could make for a great game with plenty of goals at each end.

So by that logic, predicting a 0-0 bore draw

posted on 19/9/23

The past few seasons have totally been down to the tactics of the manager. Passive with little intent beyond counter attacking. It leads to that low energy low intensity approach that does not read well in a NLD.

Pretty sure Ange will see us take it to them a bit more. This is one of our hardest games of the season every season so to a degree it's no greater measure of our progress than Sheff U, unless we truly crumble and get humiliated.

We almost have little to lose. It's early days for us so we're not expecting a result. If we play well and don't get the result we will take comfort from the progress and positive approach and if we draw or win then happy days.

Arsenal have designs on the league so they don't want to be 4 pts off City already so they will feel the pressure move.

I am therefore calm about it and just want us to play well and see where that gets us vs a very decent opposition.

I would say, based on this season, the must haves are White, Udogie, Odegaard, Maddison. The rest are all arguably pretty interchangeable. The two full backs mainly on the basis the alternatives don't seem certain starters.
Not really paid much attention to who plays in your front 3, Son seems to have had one great game up front but poor in others so Nketiah arguably deserves to be ahead of him. Saka and Martinelli haven't especially clicked yet.
Rice v Bissouma is hard to call based on how much hype your man has this season, I guess a midfield diamond with Rice, Bissouma, Odegaard and Maddison is cheating, but I would say they are our vest platters this season.

But I think those are the strongest individually we've seen so far this season.

We have been in CL in the last 5/6 years, and you only managed it this year in that time, I know which side is an established CL side between the two and it ain't your side.

We are just going through a transition, which apparently took Arsenal 5 years to go through

We also lost the one player Arsenal fans were sick off him scoring against them Kane!

We have a new manager, you had your manager 3 years and spent a fortune in the summer so we have every right to be cautious.

However, before Utd game, their fans were saying lads this is Spurs, and we usually get 3 points, look at them since where they are

Arsenal were better than us I would say up to around 2009, then the tables turned
=====

What? We were better than you up until 2016, not 2009. 2017 was when you finished ahead of us for the 1st time in decades. The league table does not lie.

Oooo you're hard................ scary Spurs are going to beat us at the Emirates because they now play attacking football. Hhahahahaha if you play a high line and attack us our better technical players will simply pass through yours and then our 2 runners on the wings will rip you a new one.

So please attack us as that will play right into our hands.

I actually agree with this, it would be very naive of us to go there gung ho and whilst I don't want to go to the emirates and park the bus Ange has to find the right balance.
