Few highlights:

“We couldn’t buy the players I mentioned to the club. Like, Erling Haaland, before he made his Salzburg debut. Declan Rice, who wouldn’t have cost what he did in the summer. We also discussed Moises Caicedo, but we felt we needed players ready for there and then.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjær says he was limited to three new main signings every season. He signed off on it before he became manager.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: "Some didn't live up to their self-image. I won't name names, but I was very disappointed when some turned down the opportunity to be captain .I was also disappointed when others said they wouldn't play or train because they wanted to force their departure."

Hmm, wonder how many of those players are still here today.

Solskjær: “Bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back was a decision that was difficult to turn down and I felt we had to take it, but it turned out wrong”.

“It felt so right when he signed and the fans felt that at Newcastle game, when Old Trafford was… rocking!”

Solskjær: “I would have signed Harry Kane every day of the week and my understanding was that he wanted to come to Man Utd”.

“But club didn’t have the budget with financial constraints from Covid, there was no bottomless pit”.

Solskjær: “I wanted Jadon Sancho, yes. Unfortunately, it has not worked out”.

“He’s immensely talented and I’m sure we haven’t seen the best of him”.

“I hope we do, but he prefers to play left wing… where Marcus Rashford plays”

With the signings he ended up making it should have been one a year

So the higher ups are controlling what the manager can and cannot do. And certain players we're trying to as well. Who knew?

Glazers OUT

What do you think of the Glazers owning United?

"In my conversations with them, they were honest and upfront. I had to be patient and mentally strong — and I was. And they’ve backed the manager now."

Good read though. A lot of stuff we already knew but still interesting.

Thought it was telling that he couldn't face watching back any of our big defeats to see what went wrong. He seems to nothing of it, but it's not really good enough.

Ole seems to be very open and honest and accepts that he made mistakes. One thing though, disappointed he didn’t have anything bad to say about the Glazers or Woodward, maybe he’s just not that sort of bloke but they need to be called out more by those close to the club.

BBC have largely reposted a lot of the interview here:

Ole was a great motivator and that got him as far as it did. That combined with Bruno and Rashford playing in god mode was magic for a while but he broke Rashford by overplaying him and eventually Bruno ran out of gas and that along with crowds coming back pretty much ended the experiment.

It’s telling Ole isn’t working still. Not even at a Watford that would hire anyone.

We haven't done much better since he's left. Sadly, people with agendas on this board will continue their irrational hate of the man.

Why could not buy Haaland before he went to Salzburg? He was unknown to everyone else then. Why couldn't Ole buy him?

No one hates the guy. But he’s just not a very good manager. Sorry if that triggers you.

You've memorised the line for the Samaritans, eh? You must use it often. Don't worry, we aren't all soy boys like you. Stick to movies. At least then you know what you're talking about.

"I told the players it was probably going to be the last time we worked together and to play with pride. We almost turned it around, until Harry Maguire got sent off."

This was a good quote from the interview I posted on another article.

That's actually something I'd like to know. LVG and Jose said similar things when it came to signing players
