You speak for them all do you?
I am realistic. Arteta has been in tenure for the past 3/4 years and spent close to £1bn, while Ange has barely been here not even 6 months, so we are still a work in progress.
A loss in the circumstances is expected. Specially as they are at home. It maybe hard to swallow but that's the reality of it. I will be ecstatic if we win, but even at our best under Poch, we seemed to struggle to get anything at their ground.
Chelsea losing always cheers me up no end no matter what

----------------------------------------------------------------------
They aren’t, they are genuine second place contenders though. Man City have won every game so far this season without breaking sweat - Arsenal have no chance of keeping up with the City pace. They are at home to City in a couple of weeks, if we can nick a draw today then I fancy City will beat them and they will be 7 points off city 8 games into the season - virtually irrecoverable as they always get a good slapping at the Etihad as well so it’s more like 10 points.
As for us, we’ll Arsenal are better than us currently so at best we will get a draw today. 1-1 is my optimistic prediction, a 2-1 or 3-1 loss would certainly not surprise me

PSV did come to play but their defending was trash and they gave us so much time and space. As much as Spurs may come to play, I can't see them being so passive in defence and allowing Odegaard the freedom of the midfield.
I think Arteta may approach this game with a bit more caution though. It's easy to think things have just clicked but defensively as a unit we just aren't at the level we were pre world cup last season. We conceded 2 to a Fulham side who haven't managed more than 1 goal in any other game this season
Whether Raya makes us better here, we will see but he's only had 2 games so far against meek opposition so it's way too early to make a judgement on that. Although some fans are already getting a bit carried away with him

It will take time and I am happy for Ange ball to continue and will back the team whether we lose or not. I expect Spurs under Ange will give it a real go and we will probably surprise them more than they think/
I cannot wait to see of we will play Brennan behind Zinchenko, and exploit the space he leaves behind and see how Biss matches up to the £100m Rice.
Lots of little battles - probably the pick of them will be Madders vs Odegaard.

I agree with all of that. City are annoyingly well run. Almost unlimited money but they spend it very well, great infrastructure and a world class manager. It's impossible to compete with that. Even the lesser trophies like the League Cup they dominate.

Both keepers are quality and I'm not too bothered by who plays. I do think the idea that we are going to rotate them is a bit fanciful. I just think Arteta rates Raya more highly in all aspects of his play. Ramsdale is a top keeper but has looked a little shaky for a while. Whether he can get a chance to reclaim his place remains to be seen but I suspect Arteta wouldn't change it until after the next international break if he plans to rotate rather than have a clear number 1 and number 2.

It could be a cracking game of end to end stuff. As much as Arsenal fans would prefer that to the Mourinho and Conte teams that have come previously, I don't think Arteta will and he may seek to have more control on and off the ball.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal fans and "pundits" are loving the fact that Spurs will come to attack, as they expect the same result as against PSV who tried toe to toe against them and got walloped. This is why Paul Merson, the daft toiler brush, concludes it will be the same outcome for Spurs.
Arsenal fans would prefer us come and do a PSV, knowing we've sold their nemesis in Kane, and coming to attack them with Richy boy is a trap they are waiting for us to fall into!
We'll see.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
PSV did come to play but their defending was trash and they gave us so much time and space.

So here’s a question to all you Spurses. If you beat the gooners, and Poch facks up at Villa, on a scale of 1 to 10 how happy will you be?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It doesn't matter what happens in the NLD! If Chelsea lose it will be a good day for us!! 🤣🤣
£6.2bn spent and can't win? That's funny AF!!! 😆😆😆
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm not sure the majority of Spurs fans would agree with you.
If we lose to Arsenal, it's not a good day, no matter what else happens.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You speak for them all do you?
I am realistic. Arteta has been in tenure for the past 3/4 years and spent close to £1bn, while Ange has barely been here not even 6 months, so we are still a work in progress.
A loss in the circumstances is expected. Specially as they are at home. It maybe hard to swallow but that's the reality of it. I will be ecstatic if we win, but even at our best under Poch, we seemed to struggle to get anything at their ground.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No I don't, but neither do you.
I don't expect us to win. But I'm saying if Chelsea win and we lose to Arsenal, in my book - and I suspect most Spurs fans; that's not a good day.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I never use phrases like "majority" of fans would etc...
I don't know this for a fact that's why.
If we lost with the odd goal, and Chelsea lost then it is still a good day. We are nowhere where we should be because our transition involved money saving and wasting on "winners".

They’re genuine title contenders. That’s the gap between the two clubs right now and it’s sickening. Now Rodri will be suspended for their game against city, so it’s important we do all we can to dent those title chances. I can’t watch them win stuff again while we just go for fourth every year.
1-1 is my optimistic prediction, a 2-1 or 3-1 loss would certainly not surprise me
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, I agree. No club in this land can claim they are title contenders. At best, second place chasers. Title belongs to City as soon as the season starts. The rest are hyped up by media just so they can sell content and make the league sound interesting!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I agree with all of that. City are annoyingly well run. Almost unlimited money but they spend it very well, great infrastructure and a world class manager. It's impossible to compete with that. Even the lesser trophies like the League Cup they dominate.

sadly true...Really well run and are probably here to stay for another few years. Pep is probably the one manager who could have made them such a dominating force.

I am sure they are both equally good, but playign Raya would be good for us. As this would be Raya's first NLD, I am sure he will be nervous and maybe show that during the game. Here's hoping
