Simple.....they'll take anything with a smile.
I think the more the night goes on the more im baffled by the decision.
There have been tight 1s in the past, a cm or 2 here or there. Ive never, since its been implemented, had an issue with offside and VAR. Ive always been happy to accept they draw the lines and if they say its off its off. Weve had some tight 1s go against us in past (away to everton springs to mind) but ive never complained.
This is honestly 1 of the most baffling things ive seen. Forget its even us. I cant get my head around what has actually happened and the powers that be need to explain it. See even if its something as simple as the var guys facked off to the bog and missed it at least its explained.
Ive honestly never seen them just gloss over an offside goal without drawing lines etc. So why this 1.
I dont blame the ref or lino. They got it wrong, that happens, human error happens. Offside is not subjective, the technology is there to actually make the decision right or wrong so why it hasnt been used is a total mystery.
You could see straight away during the VAR check that it was onside....
VAR also got Jones sent off
Ffs bloody Scousers always wanting an apology!
What difference would one make?

It looked onside to the naked eye
Jones deserved to walk. Studs up, a foot off the ground, the challenge was delivered with force and could easily have broken his opponents leg.
When it comes to dodgy refereeing/VAR decisons, Liverpool still have plenty of credit in the bank.
Oh fk off. Liverpool of all clubs are in no position to be claiming there’s corruption against them
I only just saw the highlights and thought it was weird they weren't showing the lines like the always do, especially when it looked onside in a basic replay (assumed my highlights must have cut them out).
Come on here to find out they didn't even properly check it!?
That is fecked, the referees need to come out and explain the repeated inconsistencies in their decision making - corruption or not, heads should roll at this level of football for idiocy like that.
The red was definitely the right decision though.

You’re kidding right? Have you even watched football this season?
The explanation given my PMGOal does make sense as to why tge VAR check was so quick. Seems l8ke a plausible massive cockspur.

It doesn't make sense at all. Why didn't the VAR ref immediately notify the on pitch ref that there was an error? He was following the game and must have immediately noticed the error even before play could resume?
It was a shocker tbh but Liverpool have had plenty of dodgy ones go their way. But still doesn’t excuse what a terrible one it was

I was referring to how quickly the decision on offside was made by VAR. That makes perfect sense now.
What happened after that needs to be explained, but I would hazard a guess they just froze in panic in their realisation of the error.
