The dust HASN’T settled, the media are STILL banging on about it.

If you can’t win well, win ugly, isn’t that we’re told the big teams do?

I feel absolutely fine about it all.

I love it - seeing the outrage among Liverpool fans makes our victory even sweeter. I am sure Ange would say - just enjoy it mate

Let them moan. It was a shocking offside decision as we all know , but nothing can be done retrospectively to the game and/or result.
A win is a win and we can’t be responsible for the officiating .

I feel great.

Good performance, good points and a happy club

Wasn't our best performance this season but Liverpool are a great side, as shown by still testing us with 10, then 9 men.

Handily for us their poor discipline helped us out and we eventually made the advantage count. The disallowed goal is nothing to do with us, and who knows how it might have affected the game. So it's a non point.

Big chance for us to kick on, could potentially be top of the league this time next week. With a few 'on paper' favourable fixtures to come.

This on the paper wins are now the real tests.

A disallowed goal that opened the scoring and that PGMOL have had to apologise for is a 'non-point' is it?

Okay.

Maybe don’t get your players sent off and don’t kick the ball in your own net

👍

Meh. I don’t feel bad about it. Jones sending off was correct. They scored from a controversial passage of play. They had one ruled out incorrectly for offside. Jota sending off was correct even if the first yellow was harsh, Jota should’ve been more professional. We made hard bloody work of getting the win, Alison pulled off some worldies, Richi hit the post, playing against a low block was not the expected game plan but we got there in the end. Happy to have the 3 points, it’s not like we cheated is it - the issue is between Liverpool and the PGMOL. For us we just have to take the slice of good fortune that came our way - we’ve had our fair share go against us as well, I’m not gonna waste any energy feeling bad for Liverpool, fack them.

It was quite concerning that we barely created a chance against nine men.

idk, it's easy to say that but

a) we're probably never gonna play against 9-men again this season so hardly a concern moving forward

b) at the end of the day it's always gonna be hard to break down a side who have 8 outfielders in the box at all times and 3 6'4" CBs, especially when maddison only trained one day last week and we had no creativity to bring on other than an academy player.

could we have done better, sure but I don't think it was disastrous. it was frustrating to watch but also it's always frustrating when a side plays like that

our performance against 10-men was worse than our performance against 9-men imo - that was before Liverpool fully bunkered down and where we should have actually been able to exploit big spaces in their press.

OP stop nicking my lines.

And if you feel very little joy in a victory over Liverpool, perhaps supporting Spurs ain't for you.

Doing them up like a kipper in the last minute, especially with their disallowed goal was a joy to behold.

Feck Liverpool, they have had plenty of luck against Sours over the years, with dodgy penalties, last minute goals, so it was like payback time.

Agreed. They went very compact defensively after 9 men, understandably, so were going to be hard to break down. Against 10 or even against 11 we didn't create as many chances as we should. Our link up play in the final third wasn't quite right.

I feel plenty of joy in the result !!! Delighted with everything going on with Spurs. The red cards and the VAR C0ckup has nothing to do with Spurs. Was nice to get a bit of luck for a change.

I thought it was a great game when it was 11 vs11. Just think Spurs need to practice the way they play against teams with a man or 2 down. Need to stretch the pitch better and stop playing into congested areas which makes it easier for the opposition to defend.

The decision went in our favour, not decisions plural. As far as I'm concerned the offside was wrong but I can't think of one other decision that was wrong. Not one.

I thought the decision to award liverpool a freekick in the build up to their goal was wrong.
