The only two decisions that the ref got wrong at the weekend were the offside goal being disallowed when the player was onside, and the ref giving Liverpool a freekick, which lead to the Liverpool goal, when it clearly was not a foul.

So taking both those decisions into account if the correct decision by the ref had been made then the score would have been Spurs 2 Liverpool 1.

There have been some bad VAR calls in the past but this one takes the p!ss to be honest. I'm not really surprised Liverpool are taking a stand against it, and if it leads to a positive change then good, as long as it doesn't lead to a replay or us losing the 3 points.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Decent post spurts.

I don’t want a replay or the 3 points, you lot won the game.

It’s not y’all’s thought the VAR had a mare
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah and I wouldn't want to see any Spurs fans try and twist the situation either to make out like both teams got what they deserved. Everyone should acknowledge we had a good slice of luck in that game, and that decision was awful. Whether we benefited from it or not, it shouldn't be swept under the carpet, it quite rightly should be receiving the attention and criticism it is getting.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Completely understand that and I wouldn't want it to happen to us but still, there isn't much more that can be done other than an apology and a process of decision confirmation that ensures it doesn't reoccur. What else are they supposed to do? Liverpool aren't the first team to have points robbed by referee oversight or VAR turning a blind eye and they won't be the last. What on earth do they hope to achieve by dragging this on?

I heard whispers on Twitter of having the game replayed, providing we're fully on board with itare you feckin' for real?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The officials deserve to have this level of negativity on them so I approve of Liverpool prolonging it. Imagine if it had been some end of season game that could have decided the outcome of the league title? As it is it was a big moment in a big game.

When you're talking about the idea of trying to prevent it re-ocurring then it's already failed. It really wasn't hard to get right. Call it harsh but I think certain people should be losing their jobs over it.

Yep, amazing how all these Saltypudlians conveniently ignore the ridiculous free kick awarded just before Gakpo scored, and the yellow card Jota should of had before he was booked for the first time and the second yellow that MacAllister was let off with.

Their fans are all the same, they have a victim complex and can not process the fact that just as many incorrect decisions went their way as ours on the day, which is not always the case as usually all the decisions will go Varpool`s way.

They are so used to being dragged to results through `benefit of doubt officiating` that on the extremely rare occasions the officials don`t bend over for them, they all cry like a spoiled child who can`t get its own way.

Varpool are a pathetic football club with an obnoxious zoon of a manager.

Sandy's arithmetic may be one way to look at the "offside goal" problem.

Actually it might not have been a bad decision anyway because it all depends upon WHEN the ball was kicked. The Video replays don't show that with any accuracy at all. You have to judge when that pass to Diaz was actually kicked and when Romero's leg stuck out. Did Romero stick his leg out AFTER the ball was kicked?
Obviously the linesman thought not.
So the on-field call of the linesman may well have been correct.
Anyways, all these clowns from Liverpool should just stop their whining. All clubs get bad calls, IF it was a bad call!!

I don't understand the reactants from some Spurs fans. It's not like the 3 points will be taken from them. They did nothing wrong by taking the 3 points. Not their fault at all but the way they're inventing excuses ad engaging in whataboutery is very pathetic.

Doesn't matter when the ball was kicked, what matters is what VAR actually based their decision on, which was nothing.

Of course it matters when the ball was kicked.
Read the off-side rule!

The game is done and dusted. Can't change the result or rewrite history.

Just like you can't rewrite the fact that since 2010, Wigan, Swansea and Birmingham have all been more successful. One of those things I guess 🤷‍♂️

It doesn't matter now because that's not why the goal wasn't given. The check was apparently completed and the goal was good according to VAR, it's the mix up that they claim facked them.

You really don't understand the off-side rule do you?
If VAR checked and said the goal was good, then they took the timing of when the ball was kicked to Diaz into that judgement.

Exactly. So for Spurs fans to go back and start arguing otherwise is pathetic excuses and whataboutery. Fact is VAR thought it was onside.
