Just been talking to a mate of mine about the "new" Leicester and Maresca's approach to playing the game.
The difficulty Maresca has is his style won't win as many friends as his success in the league table will, there's still quite a few people not buying into this new Maresca ball due to the way we slowly build out from the back.
Their problem is, it seems to be the new black as far as how football is played although you do need quality in your side, quite a few teams are adopting this method including Southampton although with the greatest of respect, they don't have the quality in their squad that we do and you can come unstuck with it if you don't play it well, as we will in some games to come, I've seen quite a few complaints from Southampton supporters on their pages. It just begs the question, as to what obligation do managers have to entertain the supporters and would you balance that with against points and wins

It seems to me that the possession bt the centre backs is with a view to inviting an opposition press which in theory should create space for one or more midfielders to receive, turn and set up a sharp attacking option.
On the whole, boring it isn’t!
The suicide football playing out from the back certainly isn’t boring, it makes me petrified for most of it.
I’m willing to give it time as we’re winning and we’ve not even got close to full stride yet! I have two worries and they are that Ricardo moving into midfield doesn’t seem to be creating the overload we desire and we look REALLY vulnerable defensively that teams are not punishing. When one finally does it will hurt.
I actually think we look at our best and most controlled when we’re ahead and switch to a more counter attacking approach. I don’t mind the controlled possession then because team have to come onto us and there seems to be a good press to win the ball back and counter resulting in goals.
So I still have concerns but I’m happy to see how this pans out. Of course I am, we’ve won all but 1 game!!!
Can't see anyone having concerns about this Season, they'll be bumps but it's as stroll in the park under Enzo.
Unless you're one of those fans who seem to secretly want us to struggle to have something to moan about and there's still plenty of them about.

Not far wrong Mersey!

Can't complain too much about the football, although Hermansen didn't learn from nearly giving away a goal by following it up with an even worse ball which did result in them scoring. Vardy's goal was awesome. We will lose matches playing like this but someone is in for a hiding when we click.
Enzo is clearly a miracle worker, he's got Vestergaard, N'didi and KDH playing fantastically well.
If we manage to keep up the performances/results we'll do very well in this League; one issue is what happens next year if we get promoted - but that's something to worry about later.
This will make you laugh but it’s a shame Tielemans was just a self serving mercenary,he would have grown so much under Enzo and been the player he always looked like he’d be when he was on loan to us. 😉

Maybe for £150 a week, not the £150,000 a week Villa are paying him 😱
