Wouldn't have happened if the lineman hadn't wrongly flagged for offside. He seems to have got away with it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It wasn't an easy one. This can happen which is why we have VAR. Unfortunately they were still counting their 💰 from City's owners and not paying attention.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh FFS, grow up. Such a pathetic comment. Mate, your club is NOT a spacial case. This error is the last in a very long line of mistakes that have impacted on just about every other club.
Like all these other instances, just get over it.Your club ain't a special case, just on of 20 clubs in the PL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You’re definitely a special case though.

Liverpool didn't take a stand when others were cheated, why are you entitled to the same from others?
-------------
This.
Couldn't have happened to a more deserving club.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly, if this was the other way round you wouldn’t get anywhere near as much noise. There would be loads of articles calling Sandy a cry baby, some about a handball decision given against Liverpool a couple of millennia ago and how this evens that up and that’s it.
Instead we have constant whine about replaying the fixture, faaaack off you muppets, very very occasionally the shoe will end up on the other foot
paddypower have summed up a lot on this site very well
I think it boils down to a simple thing really. Liverpool are massive and as such the attention difference is massive when it involves Liverpool. it fools people into thinking silly stuff. Especially the fans so bitter and full of hatred for anything Liverpool.

I’ve never seen the fans of the winning team be so upset for so long. You should be like your players and celebrate your undeserved victory as if you’ve just won the league.
Spurs fans are clearly seething their dvd worthy win over 9 man Liverpools been overshadowed. Unfortunately they're focusing their anger from it on the wrong people.
It’s not anger, I just find it cringe the way Liverpool fans have asked for the fixture to be replayed as if anyone in the games authority would listen to that. Liverpool are a big club, they aren’t that big though, no one’s replaying a game because the Liverpool fans are upset with the outcome

There’s always an excuse when we get a result against you lot, when we beat you 4-1 at Wembley - “Dean Lovren was spaced out” the 2-2 at Anfield “that dead cert penalty was never a penalty, Lamela dived, Salah never dives, not even into his swimming pool”
The whine factor just increases my enjoyment, my only disappointment from Saturday was that the Ref didn’t over head kick one into the back of the net for us and then wheel off celebrating

I agree though, game should not be replayed based on it seems a really bad decision.

Exactly it’s ridiculous, we all get schitt decisions against - I still can’t believe we didn’t get the Pedro Mendes goal against United all those years ago, but I accept we have been fortuitous on other occasions.

This coming from the guy who blames the ref every time we pound the spudlings into mashed potatoes.
According to you and over half your fan base on here Liverpool have never beaten Spurs, or even won a game of football legitimately. You couldn't make it up.
As a life-long Red, I think I would give up watching football if there was a replay, either in LFC v. Spurs or any other game on the planet.
What’s done is done. Get on with it. LFC are quite right to hear the audio, although I think nothing will come out of it which will benefit the club. Just to accept ‘sorry’ and leave it there would not have resulted in Webb disclosing the tape of recording.
If a rugby ref’s comments can be heard by one and all, why couldn’t the same apply in football? Yes, I accept rugby fans are better behaved than us but that shouldn’t stop live comment being heard.
We move on. Let’s get behind the team for the next game. I’m far more concerned about Gakpo’s fitness, MacAllister’s positioning, Dominic’s next thunderbolt than yesterday’s news.
