This manager, with the help of Murtough, has spent 50m on Onana, 85m on Antony and 65m on Mason Mount in the last year of his contract.

If he gets sacked he can't really complain can he?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well yes, he could. But he doesn’t come across as a whineyso probably wouldn’t.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Oh here comes the big man giving it large again.

We've lost 6 games out of our first 10. We are going to go out in a poor CL group and we are midtable after 7 games.

I think we've got a right to be a bit miffed mate. I don't even hold Ten Hag responsible for a lot of our issues either as you know. He's definitely not helping himself though at moment.

Get a life VC. You're hurting as much as I am.

In your thread above this you have listed the reasons why he could complain if he was sacked.

FFS. Unless we seriously get in a relegation battle and keep losing ETH... isnt going to get the sack soon. We probably wont finish top 4 or even get through the CL group this season. (But we must finish at least 3rd in the group to get in the Ropey to get Euro football next season to give new players some incentive to sign).

We are in this with him as manager for the long run. Hes got five years to build a squad to seriously compete for the PL/CL. We are in year 2. He needs to seriously look at that defence when everybody is fit and get a couple in (and a couple out) in the next window. The rest of them (midfield and forwards) did well tonight. Just bad luck and decision making let us down there. And what a prospect Hojland looks. He could be a real deal.

We need to get behind the team and manger now more than ever and hope things calm down at the club with all the distractions that have been going over the last few months and injured players return.

I quite like ETH, at least I like his ideology, but if we don’t finish top 4 he is a gonner, that’s a president that’s been set.

I said all summer we HAD to buy a CB, we never, and look where we are. Yes there are other issues, but we’re hopeless with Lindelof or Maguire.

As for Onana, I’ve no idea what ETH was thinking, he knows him from his past.

Some of his big money signings have been woeful. That's the big one.

That isn't good enough is it?

I don't want him sacked though. I want the Glazers gone before anymore managers get sacked. I just made the point that if they do get rid he's probably not got a lot of comeback.

Rinse, wash, repeat, new manager bounce, run of poor results, new manager, hopefully end up in championship

“ Some of his big money signings have been woeful. That's the big one.”

Onana has been woeful, Antony hasn’t been good value for money.

Mount m, Martinez and Hoijlund look decent, but we need another 10 of them if we’re to compete.

Don’t forget ETH has also had to sign a budget LB, free transfers, loans to patch up issues in the squad. We signed fecking Johnny Evans when he wanted a CB.

I dont think there's a more strange poster than you on here VC. You look for issues in my comments where there are none.

It's a football forum. Somewhere I come to let off steam and give opinions. If you don't like mine that's perfectly okay. Just ignore me or even filter me if you like. Couldn't care less mate. Your opinion isnt all that valuable to me either.

In fact I'd prefer it if you did. 👍

It's a form of online bullying from what I see. Why are you putting up with this? You should be free to create what you want as long as it's in line with house rules.

Where we find ourselves now is very comparable to where Ole was shown the door.
I still believe that was a mistake!

So, no, we should not make the same mistake again.
We ride this out and actually give the manager time, even if we finish bottom half.

The last time we stuck with a manager that finished bottom half was a Scottish guy who, given time, did rather well.

It's all them bloody Glazers fault for only investing €450mil since Ten Haag arrived. They might have beaten Palace and Galatasaray if they outspent them during the same period.

The Glazers are just making mistakes, everyone makes mistakes, United fans just have to accept it and move on.

money can be spent badly, this is down to poor infrastructure. moreover, lets look at the 450 m not spent, i.e. on your old centre forward, that this club should easily have be able to afford.

I don't think Ole was as bad as people make out, the real issue was the players downing tools, which we are now seeing under ETH.

I thought they needed a sterner hand, which ETH seems to have, but even that doesn't seem to be working.

Ole was only ever a stop gap for Mr Big who eventually turned put to be ETH via Rangnick. We finished second after losingvthecRopey final on penalities. All seemed good.. new signings inc Varane Ronaldo... which didnt hit the ground running. Started badly got stuffed a couple of times and United pressed the sack button.

So rince and repeat. Start from scratch again.

Learn from that. Give Ten Hags new team time to gell. Injured players will come back. Things will gradually improve over the season. More ins and outs over the next 2 windows.

And I dont think he will be sacked even when we dont finish top 4 this year.
