Why stop at this game, I’m sure West Ham would like to wind it back a week further to when Bowen was bundled over in the Anfield box but was miraculously not given a penalty.
Anyway this is all nonsense, it’s impossible to reply the fixture for the sheer fact that it would open the floodgates and every time a team feels wronged they will be demanding it and the FA won’t want to deal with that.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
There will always be a difference between a challenge and an offside (I agree with you it wa ssdefinitely a pen). The offside was 100% proven to be incorrect and they messed up.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Fair enough I guess we have to go back to January 2023 and the Wolves vs Liverpool FA cup game where Wolves were robbed by an incorrect offside decision.
Just how far back would we take this?
There is Zero chance of a replay - I am sure though that things will get evened up for Liverpool over the course of the season - if we get out of Anfield with anything less than 3 penalties against, 2 red cards and a special guest appearance Howard Webb hat trick I would be amazed

So will Liverpool play us with 10 men from the time at which the VAR incident occurred?
=====
If so then the game should become 1-0 to Liverpool from the minute we scored.
According to your logic.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
True it should. And it needs to be all the same players on the pitch, and unfortunately for you, the same officials.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Surely all of the same fans also have to be there in the exact place they were at the time, wearing exactly what they were wearing and doing what they were doing
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It needs to be the same amount of time left on the clock from the point the onside goal was scored. We'd also then have to make sure every player is in the same position on the pitch that they were when it happened. It would be like in the snooker where the ref is trying to place the ball back where it was after a foul but he'd have to do the same with 21 players.

Problem here is a simple one....impatience
Folk moaning like fook about how long VAR has taken to make decisions.....in simple terms here, decision has been made too quickly, VAR simply didn't check what the on field decision was, and was helpless after the game had restarted
If it takes 2 mins to get the correct decision, as opposed to all this carry on.....what's the issue?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well they weren't really helpless were they? Someone could have had the balls to put their foot down and give a Liverpool goal. Instead we got some weak VAR assistant saying they simply "can't give it".
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They were apparently the rules state they cannot change the decision once the game restarted, the game had restarted. Do you want the officials to break the rules of the game? If they did that wouldn't Spurs be able to say the refs deliberately broke te laws governing VAR to their detriment?
Should the rule be looked at 100% but it is in place and was followed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would be ok with the rules being broken to get the decision right. It's not like anything happened a few seconds after the game restarted. It was an unprecedented mistake so it deserves an unprecedented reaction to it i.e. someone breaking protocol to arrive at the correct decision. I'd have more respect for the officials doing that than what we actually got.
Also what if our players saw the flag and therefore stopped trying, allowing Diaz to score the goal

Maybe while we're at it bring in Derren Brown to hypnotise all the players into thinking that this isn't a replay and it's actually still the first time we've played Liverpool this season, so their mentalities will still be the same as they were at that point in time last Saturday.
Klopp is literally saying he thinks a replay is the right thing to do. Unbelievable

If the incident had been for Fulham or Burnley, this would have been forgotten about by now. No wonder some call them Mediapool.

So will Liverpool play us with 10 men from the time at which the VAR incident occurred?
=====
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Also what if our players saw the flag and therefore stopped trying, allowing Diaz to score the goal - I think you are right, we would have to restart the game from the very moment the ball left Salahs foot - we would also have to erase Vicarios memory, otherwise he will know exactly where Diaz will hit the shot given him an advantage.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Maybe while we're at it bring in Derren Brown to hypnotise all the players into thinking that this isn't a replay and it's actually still the first time we've played Liverpool this season, so their mentalities will still be the same as they were at that point in time last Saturday.

Klopp is literally saying he thinks a replay is the right thing to do. Unbelievable
