Never saw any of it due to work commitments......watched our goal on the highlights and switched off after that..... can't bring myself to watch their goals.

The new league and TV deal is a pipe dream. It's been flogged to death. We're competing for 3rd place in the group and that result has surely killed that possibility.

I'm thinking ahead to the revamped Champions League next year and the "Swiss model" playing 8 games against different calibre opposition. Not sure how it works but I'm hoping it offers more chances to pick up results.

Aye would hope (if we make it) that we would maybe win a game or 2. I dunno what to think about our campaign so far, last night we at least deserved a draw, but hey we lost so it is what it is. I can see what we are trying to do and when ot clicks its brilliant, ala Kyogo's goal, but we don't click enough in the final third, nit sure why. Anyway plenty to be positive about, though zero expectations for the next 2 games

the goal at the end was bad, was bad for CCV but having watched it back Johnston is poorly positioned and mcgregor just stands there and watches him struggle, he should have got stuck in when he was surrounded.

It gives you two extra goes at getting a result but since the teams being added are biased to big 5 leagues then it will be harder. That and for us to get out we probably need a wee bit luck as well then the chances have got tougher unless something else changes.

UEFA are a facking disgrace really - they are the biasing the whole thing to further their own ends and not that of the game. More money needs bigger audiences needs bigger country's teams needs compatition designed around them and fck the rest.

Agree with this, probably looking to ward of world or super leagues as well, which I suspect will still happen. Wonder how long before Middle East clubs are allowed to join with their mega money.

i thought the ref was pretty ridiculous last night as well btw.

there was a point in the first half where he stopped us playing twice to move the ball back.

but when they had a free kick they could take it from wherever.

It is worse because they are abusing their monopoly powers. Must look up wtf is happening with all the law suits that were supposed to be coming. Their threats are even suppressing smaller clubs engaging consultants to explore how more money could come into the game by widening competition. The ESL fiasco showed they are just not interested and are judge and jury. ESL failed partly because it was not ambitious enough. It is war, if you are gonna strike it needs to be a killer blow.

I think he was just on tbf, the lack of checking the deliberate elbow on Hatate was shocking.

Scales trailing leg played him on unfortunatley.

posted on 5/10/23

some of our football was terrific last night, i thought scales was very brave with the ball, trying forward passes in tight spaces.

at first i thought hart was poor for first goal but the slight touch just outdoes him.

Our new centre half partnership should be scales and vickers.

That boy is looking to be a great find and didn't look fazed at all last night.

posted on 5/10/23

Yeah Scales was good last night , he had a few mistakes but he also did alot of great work

His tackle on Kamada i think was tremendous , could see it materialising

Oriley was excellent , Hatate was hit and miss all game

Maeda - dreadful - love the workrate and desire but his quality is non existent ...some of things he does is baffling. He doesnt seem to even think like a footballer

a few balls broke through for him and hes got no idea what to do , on one he takes a touch wide of the goal to set up his bad foot and on the other he gets his body infront of the defender yet tries to hit across first time and makes a mess of it ...hes not aware

liked what i seen from Palma & Bernard - both gave us something when they came on

posted on 5/10/23

i thought maeda had a good game to be honest, he's limited but ran at players quite well.

the one he gets himself in on goal , despite being at an angle, he managed a very poor effort.

what i will say is, we need to be testing keeper more from distance, because everytime we do you see maeda running right in on the keeper.

there were times where he became the second man in the tackle and put pressure on them.

i like him, i can't help it.

posted on 5/10/23

Maeda needs to be on the left, especially against better teams.
He's not as effective on the right and Taylor needs two players to bail him out in Europe rather than just the one that he needs domestically.
He's badly exposed this season because Maeda is on the other side.

Well fvcking said 👏

We don't have any luck in Europe. And by that I mean we are never given an easy ref. The Tallys did what they wanted last night, there should've been another three yellow cards for them and possibly a red.

And the ref in the Feyenoord game, fvkcing lunatic.

And the Maeda touch.. if that's not unlucky I don't know.what is.

Well, the touch isn’t unlucky at all as he aimed to make contact.

Why he thought to do so is the thing that baffled me at the times

posted on 5/10/23

The summer signings haven’t impressed so far. Still time for a couple of them to show their worth.

Exceptionally small margins last night was the difference, but we need better players to make the difference of those small margins.

yeah, composure is a big thing for a starters.

it really annoys me how much we expect the CB's and keeper to soak up the oppositions press, midfield don't take enough responsibility.

need someone to come and collect it and move it forward, not just pass it back to them

It is unlucky that he made contact with the ball.

he's a striker at heart and he's in the middle of the box, it's just instinct unfortunately.

posted on 5/10/23

i say a striker, he missed 1 really good opportunity and didn't force a save on a half chance.
