i thought we put this to bed the other day

van Persie has almost a 1 in 1 goals to game ratio over past 12 months, same as Messi. Messi plays in a better team and poorer league so RVP > Messi.

If that is a question, then I can improve on that question with an even tougher one to answer, who is better, Rooney or Messi

Let's change it to Sturridge vs. Messi. No contest. Messi never scored a backheel on a Saturday afternoon in Newcastle.

In conclusion, Van Persie and Sturridge are both better than Messi.

Fabregas> Messi
Suarez > Messi
Forlan> Messi
Zidan> Messi
Julio Baptista > Messi

All have won a major international cup with their countries. There's about 100 more I couldn't be bothered to mention.
