I worry about Sanchez. I don't think he has played badly, but he's not been anything more than average. Jackson is a puzzle - he does some excellent things but has to find more composure in front of goal and I'm not sure that is something that can be purely coacheed into him.
In a normal situation, that is, without so many injuries, we have good level cover at the back and our midfield could become very solid.
I have faith Pochettino can get the best out of Mudryk. We have already seen that he has Sterling playing to his strengths and running at the defence. I also think that the return of N'kuku will allow him to vary, and play two of three between N'kuku, Jackson and Palmer at 9 and 10.
There is ability, there is potential but that is not always enough to make a team.

Agreed, hopefully the team / squad will bond and find cohesion over this season, they are talented group of individuals.
This seasons will either break them or bring them together , let's hope it is the latter.I think this season will test them mentally.
I like the look of the defence, the midfield is also looking formidable and like wise with our striking options, there is great potential there.
Palmer is an exciting prospect.
I think (if cucurella can keep up form) this is the strongest we've been as a squad in a long time.
We have depth (with nkunku, james, chillwell, fofana, badiashile, lavia, chukwumeuka, mudryk, madueke to come back from injury) in every position. It's just getting them on the pitch and getting them to click now.
Broja can challenge jackson and only be a good thing.
Sterling seems to found what makes him effective and palmer looks like a potential world class player.
I'll be happy if we can just start taking the chances we create and it will see us slowly climb the table.
Too early for all this.
Couple wins vs meh opposition.
Arseanl, Spurs, Man City, Newcastle BHA & Man Utd all up and coming in your next 7 games.
No not to early imo, we are going to get battered from time to time.
The next 7 games will be test, personally im at
Afc- loss, Spurs- loss, City- loss, Newcastle- draw or win, Brentford- draw or win, BHA, draw or win, UTD- draw or win. 8 from 21 points.
But i do actually think that they will compete decently overall, we may get rolled over easily in the games i think we will loose, because i feel the opposition are in better condition and superior in cases.
But for the rest i don't see no reason why we cant compete at a decent level step by step.
But the article is more about where we may be come the end of the season as a team, not necessarily where our place indicates.
Those next 7 games are absolutely brutal. Good luck Poch, you’re going to need it.
yeah,
You know what they say, what don't kill you makes you stronger.
You’re lucky the promoted teams are the worst in premier league history, else Chelsea would be a distinct possibility of getting relegated.
ok, i suppose we will have to see where we finish at the end of the season to gage if what you have just said holds any accuracy
We are six points behind you!
Compare both our opening 8 games.
Are we a world class goal keeper and an out and out striker short of a challenging competitive squad.?
