It’s 4 days after, which is normal. And the trade off is we get a longer break afterwards before the next game. Up to Ange and his team to manage the squad and injuries efficiently. As long as Udogie and Sarr aren’t badly hurt we shouldn’t worry, plus Biss will be available and Bentancur is back soon.

The really key for me is using some of that Kane money to properly address our lack of depth in Jan. Let’s not forget that facking dry lunch cuunntt Levy broke even in the summer. He needs to properly back Ange.

We had 2 days extra rest for our international players from last week’s games.

We have nothing to moan about.

Good points

I only found out we have a long break after friday.

Think this is probably the first time fixture wise we are under pressure to manage players fitness and injuries.

Other than Ivan Toney, I wonder what other quality striker will be available. The likes of Gift Oban has not been tearing it up this season, so he could be a gamble and Ivan Toney maybe priced out with Arsenal also keen on him

Ange needs backing but Scott Munn needs to start showing us his nous.

Some of the second string have no business being at Spurs, it`s up to our illustrious chairman to build a proper squad to compete and handle all eventualities, including 2 games in 4 days

Good point

The job isn't complete yet. We are still refreshing the squad. We still have players from 5 years ago!!

Need to move on the deadwoods and release some funds

if we were in a different scenario then maybe we would have moaned but the fact that we play 1 game a week, makes it hard to say anything about congestion of fixture list

Gift could've been a shrewd move with the prices in today's market but it seems Levy ruffled some feathers with his first tentative offer 😂 kids more of a gamble but could well be a rough diamond with high potential.

For spurs to win the title he would need to let the manager spend pretty big in January. Not sure if he's done that before. It'd take a big lead at the top to convince him I think so I can't see it.

Levy strikes me as the type to pat himself on the back that the footballs decent and spurs are winning games. Don't think he is one to seize a moment if it's costing him $ 😂

OP

If Spurs were in Europe, the gap between games would be the same. Quit moaning. You are sounding like Klopp.

I think out last game was a lot further ago that 3 games.

Why the fack is a four day break getting a single comment?

If you were in Euro competition you would have loads of games in a 3-4 day turnaround ffs

posted on 24/10/23

OP, the reason for this is because the FA, the Prem, UEFA, FIFA, EFL, the Pundits, the Officials, Sky and all TV, everyone is out to get Spurs as usual.

Very clever of them to make Spurs play two games before anyone else plays. How is that fair?

Just didn’t know we are going to have a longer stretch after this next game
I know we are paper thin in quality in depth and worry about having to put out a quality side
Maybe it’s just how it is being at the top, you worry all the time! more than otherwise 😋

Now you lot have seen that Angeball (or at least a version of it) can still be moderately successful in your precious league you will now know that he makes games worth watching. Hand brakes disconnected, risk taking, tricks, flicks, exciting breaks and players trying so very hard - what's not to like, eh? You know what you are going to get. Make the most before he's off to bigger things.

On a wee side note Richy my motm last night. Didn't do anything much, right? Nah, he worked his socks off and didn't moan. OK, he never cracked a smile either but honestly was not sure he had that in him but Ange has worked his magic. You need guys like that just to be a facking pest like Maeda was for us. His work ethic contributed to Bassey fvcking up for the goals. His rewards will come.
