Legacy Spurs

I can go back as far as October 1958, we have had some incredibly talented and amazing players over 1894 and our first recorded senior competitive game, certainly too many to list here.
One person I will mention as a stand out was Walter Tull,
The first black outfield player in the Football League, Walter Tull was a trailblazer in English football. Playing in our first-ever matches in the Football League, he later enlisted in the British Army as the Great War engulfed the continent. In the conflict, he became the first British-born black combat officer in the British Army, fought twice at the Somme, before he sadly lost his life in 'no-man's land' on 25 March, 1918.RIP

Sadly amongst some great players we had our share of disasters too, sometimes not their fault but often it was down to a lack of talent from them and poor judgement from the scouts at Spurs.

One I will mention is Jason Cundy a player so devoid of talent that he would struggle to play in the National League.
He is also a very bitter ex player (a Chelsea man) who wastes no opportunity to run Spurs down when he is on Talksport.

A couple of our current squad are possibles to become club legends too, if their current progress continues. Let’s wait and see.🤔

Read about Tull a few years ago.

Jason Cundy I wish he never played for us as I can't understand the amount of bitterness from him. It's way too much.

Same with Darren Bent.

Bents a gooner and he embarrassed himself at Spurs. Sandra Redknapp was a better finisher and that comment from HR will follow Bent to his grave.

Lol, no he’s not, unfortunately

Shame he didn't make his debut 64 players later and he would have got 666 which would have been fitting.

Ziege is number 666. He could take a good freekick.

Sandy Tait was a member of Spurs first great side. The 1900-01 Cup winning team.

Pays to know your Tottenham history.

Most on the board sadly know very little about Spurs pre 2000. Let alone 1900 players.

I like to think I know Spurs history from 1882 pretty well, without having to Google it.

Fantastic initiative from the club

If Kane come backs. Does he revert to his old number or get a new one?
