Agree, with that talent at your disposal I would have high hopes of "winning" something next few years
One fly in the ointment COULD be Southgate? I don't watch all of Englands matches but often hear fans being not too happy with his set up, any opinion on him?
Said this already. England have the best squad in Europe, Kane and Bellingham alone would be the envy of any other team. Only France because if Mbappe come close. England will never get a better chance to win a major tournament but you feel that Safegate will find a way to feck it up. He’s out of his depth and far too pragmatic a coach to have this level of attacking talent at his disposal.
I have seen videos of Kane for Bayern and he looks like he is struggling. In the video I saw he failed to even get out of his own half. If England are to be successful Kane needs to be more of a threat in the opponent's half.
Watching England is like watching paint dry. Totally disinterested in International football these days.

That’s all international sides Sandy, that’s how qualifying works - you have to play some of the shiete sides like Malta. The Prem is the same, sometimes you play a Luton, sometimes you play City.
We’ve beaten Italy home and away - the reigning European champions. We beat a very in form Scotland side away (in a friendly admittedly) we’re likey to go unbeaten in qualifying.
If it wasn’t for France and Southgate I would say we’re a shoe in, but unfortunately both exist

He was great at laying the foundations but he doesn’t look like he can finish it off - mind you the Germans said similar about Low, so hopefully we have a similar result.
as usual with England over the Southgate period the big question mark is the midfield.
France have some ridiculous talent as well, the first XI's are very close in ability.
But as people are saying here already, the way GS sets us up to be solid at the back first and foremost tends to win you a 38 game league season, but not tournaments.

The attacking talent is just insane - we’re in a time where quality CF are hard to come by yet England have Kane, Wilson, Watkins and Toney.
Maddison can’t get close to the starting 11 despite being brilliant this season, Eze doesn’t stand a chance and £60m Mason Mount probably won’t make the squad (at least he shouldn’t do).
Jude Bellingham steps up every time he is asked to, from Birmingham City, to captain of Dortmund to the best player at Real Madrid - he is going to take a huge burden off the likes of Kane and Saka this tournament

Croatia will be difficult as usual if they qualify and Spain have serious talent as well. The rest can go swing, they aren’t even close to this England squad

The players aren't the problem.
The squad isn't the problem, we've got an embarrassment of riches.
The only problem is the utter dullard, cretin, hypocritical, political ideology pandering, manic blinking, coma inducing in-house appointed loser of a manager. He's just a LOSER we simply won't win anything with. This is his 4th shot and he's still unable to change his approach.
LOSER.
The talent is there to win it. I just have reservations whether the bottle is.

This is where I think Bellingham could come in, loads of the top teams in international football fall back on a great player - Zidane, Messi, Mbappe, Ronaldo (both) Spain were fortunate enough to have arguably the greatest midfield the world has ever seen plus Pique, Ramos and Alba.
Bellingham went up another notch for me at the weekend - getting both of Madrids goals away at Barca, the first one a Gerrard like howitzer and the second a scruffy winner in injury time - the kid can do everything and he is being absolutely feted over there

England players to have been hyped to ridiculous levels by the English media in recent years:
Kane
Foden
Rice

Shaw

Gazza
English players who should have been hyped but the English media didn't for some reason and often used as scapegoats:
Saka
Rashford
Abraham
Watkins
Wilson
Toney
Zaha
Bellingham
K.Walker
Ashley Cole
Andy Cole

I don't know what has been going on in the English media over the past 30 years or so but they seem to hype some players but not others, seemingly at random.
