There should be lots of wages freed up this summer if not before
Perisic £180k
Hojbjerg £102k
Lloris £100k
Dier £85k
Davies £80k
Forster £75k
Lo Celso £70k
Not mid season end of season. Only those with 2 years or less should be done sooner.
You can't reward people after 10 games. You will have more Dele's to deal with.
They get win bonuses and goal bonuses. If we qualify for the CL there will be a bonus too.
You are getting carried away.

I think in principle it's a good idea but you have to get the timing and the increase right. This approach didn't exactly turn out well with Dele and he probably isn't the only example.
You’d wait till the summer before handing out new contract contracts to those that still have 4 years to go

I see there is no need for me to comment on this article.
We could have done this with Kulu the way he started but he wouldn't have done anything to justify it since his first season. Nothing wrong with just giving everyone more time before rewarding them.
We offer them improved offer and they can turn it down and decide they want out...THat would be hilarious...
All this fans already creaming themselves after only 10 games!
10 games is too soon.
Now 11 games in…..
Wenger did a similar thing in his latter years and gave out long expensive contracts to the likes of Arshavin, Walcott, Diaby and Song and then lo and behold their form fell off a cliff. Walcott in particular was well known for hitting form just before his contract negotiations began. Strange that.
Money has a funny way of motivating people so I wouldn't give them a bean extra until they've actually achieved something worthwhile.

Giving him a new contract before he'd signed permanently would've been a bit odd
Like i said, a bit bonkers.
But all of these players should be tied down to new deals next summer IMO (unless their performances plummet) and in the ideal world, before the summer so we avoid a window of Sky trying to sell our best players.

Why wouldn`t Spurs fans be excited? They are top of the table. What`s the point of being a supporter if you are not going to get excited when your team is doing well?

They are already tied down. If they had two years left on their deals then you would have a point.
What happens if they continue this form after 20 games? 30 games even? When does it stop?

Yeah
I used him for comparison more than anything of how a player can start so well before his form goes off the boil. Not that I think a lot of these other players will follow suit.

It stops as soon as they have 2 bad games in a row. Then we abuse them on social media and cancel the contracts

Yeah and I jumped on it because I think you're being very harsh. Kulusevski is still doing good for us. Not 'new contract after 10 games' good but there's nothing to be worried about IMO
