We can't go into this game without a striker. We have three options all with drawbacks:
Osong - Has promise, knows where the goal is and will be driven by adrenalin. Inexperienced.
Taiwo - The main man. Probably not capable of 90 minutes.
Do we still have Lingard's phone number? Will he play for £1,000 per 90 minutes + £1,000 a goal + £1,000 a point?
That's the attack sorted; midfield. Sangare and Dominguez can't play for 90 minutes; Yates can.
Goalkeeper. Sadly one bad mistake too many at Anfield, Vlachodimos starts & fingers crossed he doesn't get injured.
Vlachodimos
Aurier Boly Murillo Aina
Yates Mangala Dominguez
MGW
Taiwo
Who will be the surprise omission due to injury in training pre kick-off. My Guess Orel or MGW
Training video recently posted has Danilo featuring heavily, looks to be flying as well.

Good because we need more attacking threat.
Something has to change, atm we are saying that we are struggling to beat poor times at home, possibly some truth behind that, but Villa are NOT a poor team, so its time to find out if we can actually raise our game, i certainly hope we can, otherwise we are in trouble.
Hopefully Cooper will have a near full squad to pick from, the first question, who starts in goal, loyalty or the obvious change.
I doubt Taiwo will be ready for 90 minutes, but really needs to start, and the rumours of Danillo being seen in training are a boost, but who do you drop to accommodate him ??
MGW could be benched again, and maybe even Yates in midfield to match up against Mcginn.
Three points would be massive tomorrow, not only for confidence but to lift us clear of the bottom 4 or 5, though for a change our goals against doesn't equate to being a point worse off, it really needs to stay that way.
If we can put out a strong team, and performance to match i fancy us to win 2-1, if we are not fully switched on Villa will more than likely take the 3 points.
Lots for SC to ponder before he names his team. We seem to have a lot of key players who struggle to keep going for the full 90(100)+ minutes. I think Taiwo has to start,as long as he hasn’t had any setbacks in the week, and hope he lasts 70 minutes and gets a goal or two.
MGW has to play central not wide where he started the last two games.
Some strike from Aina, great start
Boom. Pick that out of the net. Great start.
Ref blows for a foul when Awoni had nicked the ball on the edge of the box. Never a foul and denied an almost certain second.
The lino has been very poor this half. At least 2 very poor decisions when we have clearly been on side
Villa play such a high line, there is no need to be offside, absolutely loads of space in behind them, having said that, they are pretty dangerous up front.
Totally agree about the ‘foul’ early on, we should have stuck the ball in the net and then asked the question, VAR is certainly far from perfect.
We need to start the second half as we did the first, pretend its still 0-0, too many times we’ve tried, and failed to sit on half time leads, i don’t think one goal is enough to win this, we definitely, imo, need at least another.
Mandala makes it two! from 25 yards
RIP Adam Johnson
VAR really is a killjoy, you can’t celebrate with any certainty.
So frustrating being caught so easily offside, time after time, we have acres of space to play into, and constantly get caught offside.
Just what we (and Cooper) needed.
Solid team performance, excellent win.
Best of the season so far.

Great result. The back line were brilliant
We all needed this win as Mr Marinakis was at the WFCG today. A excellent win!

The home performance we been waiting this season
Great atmosphere today.
A cracking result.
I just need Liverpool and Spurs to win for my 9 stage accumulator! Shame I only put a dollar on…at 150-1!!
Nice touch by players of both sides, consoling the lad playing the last post, really felt for him, but nice to see the players and fans appreciated it.
It’s a big ask of a thirteen year old, but he did well.

It was a nice moment, actually made more lovely by it not being perfect 😊
I think our new Forest team has arrived.. A tactical master class from Steve Cooper and the squad . Many candidates for MOTM, but I’d like to give a mention to Harry Toffolo. Top professional
